Bottle @ JetsonFest III, courtesy of foppa78. Mat is a fine gentleman. Pours a deep reddish brown appearance with a little khaki head. Caramel, plum, slightly oxidized, grape aroma. Carbonation is pretty good. Sweet caramel/chocolate candy, fig, leather, a bit dark fruity, pretty tasty flavor. At 12 years old, this has held up pretty well. Thanks again, Mat!

Woodshed 2.0. Big thanks to StFun for shipping me this. I have been wanting to try this for years and years. It pours with a mahogany colored body that’s fairly clear and supporting a tan head of foam. The aroma emits soft smooth agedness with wet tobacco, earthiness, sweet ripe yet muted cherry meat, wet leather and smooth sort of berry like sherry earthiness. The taste is similar with smoothness and a bit thin on the palate too. It softly delivers smooth muted cherry and ripe red apple esters as well as molasses covered wet tobacco to midway. Into the finish it gets to be a bit cherry somewhat oxidized oldness. I love how this has aged. Great experience.

Brown pour from ibrew2or3. Old beer but still somewhat drinkable. Oxidation, sherry, maple, honey, agave nectar, some caramel. Interesting and fun to try!

Bottle generously shared by ibrew2or3 @ Woodshed 2.0! Crazy old bottle that I never thought I’d get a shot at. Dark mahogany pour with a caramel head. Toffee, honey, cocoa, vanilla, maple, and sherry. Loads of oxidation. Expected but still quite drinkable.

Bottle at Jon’s bachelor party (whoop whoop). This shit is bad old, and it smells like it. Smells like closet. Very dusty. Some amontillado sherry, a touch of frog. I’m digging for complexity and I guess I could pick out all sorts of random crap but the truth is it smells pretty foul, so that’s enough of that. The pour actually has a small but wispy head that sticks around through the glass. Decent flavor, fairly light, not quite as much Old as the nose. Fairly watery, with a bit of almond, pine nut, raw maple sap. Mint comes through here and there. Not quite high enough ABV to last 12 (14 from brew date) years.
