COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Malted wheat and the choicest American barley are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile. It's especially good with a slice of lemon!

355ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus with some grains and a hint of yeast. Taste is a grassy and light citrus hop aroma with a light fruity and malty sweetness finishing with a light dry yeast.

Cerveja de trigo em que sobressai o aroma e o sabor lupulado. Ha um que levemente doce e licorado, mas que nao consegui definir exatamente. Talvez seja o citrico da Blanche de Bruxelles.

Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a slightly cloudy golden orange with white head that steadily dissipates into thin lacing. Smells of dough and mild hops. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. A decent example of the style.

12oz bottle. About the most that can be said is that this beer is very yellow and very fizzy.

Hazy dirty gold with a firm head that doesn’t last long enough, no lace. The taste is solid wheat beer pleasure: Wheat and malt open things; they are joined by light citrus and spices, moving calmly through the palate to a light touch of bittering in the finish. Not a big deal....but it certainly is good (and is reliable).

GoufCustom (615) - HONG KONG - OCT 25, 2013

355 ml bottle bought at YATA in Grand Century Place, Mong Kok.

Cloudy hazy dull golden yellow colour with dirt- like yeast sediments; One finger head with white foam which lasts for about 1 minute; Medium sticky lacing and slight carbonation; Fragment aroma of orange, light mango, light grapefruit, floral, light malt, yeast, very faint citrus and light grass; Very light sweet taste of malt, with faint tartness, light yeast, dry biscuits, notes of cardboard, faint citrus and faint grass; Mid to light body, thin to watery crisp palate; Mouth feel is stripped down hefeweiss, with more wheat than malt, no estery or fruity taste, tartness is minimal but really crisp, dry and biscuity. Hoppiness is good mango and orange nose, faint but nice lemony taste in background. Bitterness is barely detectable; Dry finish and after taste, very easy and crispy to mouth.

Comments: A solid if unspectacular wheat ale - good tropical fruit nose, lean crisp body, yeasty dry and easygoing, but not much else otherwise. Pretty reasonably-priced, too. A good choice after lunch.

Very smooth and easy to drink. Very subtle flavor. A good beer but just not very memorable.

Has some characteristic toasted wheat and banana flavors, but none of the spice and it’s fairly weak, just tastes like a pale ale. Some tang.

The flavor dies almost immediately, which is disappointing when before it had time to meet with some pleasant, tangy yeast tones.
