Sep 2, 2007 On tap at Birreria Paradiso in Georgetown, DC. Clearish ruby, off white head. Aroma is pine, herbs, slight bourbon. Flavor is bourbon, pine, anise, molasses, caramel.

Sep 2, 2007 Dark chesnut amber pour with small white head. Winey cider chocolate aroma. Taste is malty yeasty sweet with hints of chocolate. A really good dark belgian.

Sep 1, 2007 750 bottle corked and caged...Pours a nice ruby hue with nice thick light brown head. Aroma is spice, fruits, caramel ... and malt. Taste of fruit, spice, caramel, sugar, yeast and a hint of toasted grain in the finish. This beer is pretty incredible and one of the finer american recreations of a belgian strong ale. Moderately carbonated with a creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol presence is slightly noticeable. Excellent beer from one of my favorite brewing companies. Thanks, Exposure for carring it

Aug 26, 2007 Candied malt aroma, some nice hops also, auburn, tiny toffee head. Tastes of rich booze and fine almonds. Full bodied, well balanced, quite bitter, lovely mouthfeel. Great! I’ve been wanting to try this since it’s release. Thank You IPFreely!
