A rustic ale, pale in color, inspired by the rich brewing traditions of the Flanders region. Abundant hops and a Belgian yeast strain contribute exotic aromas af tropical fruit.

Editor’s Note: previously known as Whole Foods Silver Jubilee.

355ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey golden colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity, yeasty aroma, notes of green and yellow apple, apple purée, pear, a minimally dusty, yeasty touch. Taste is fruity yeasty, slightly sweet, bready malty, dry hoppy overtones with a herbal touch, notes of apple and pear, some peppery yeast spiciness, white pepper, some alcohol throughout. Well balanced, strong and intense, could be top level without the alcohol presence.

Przeciętny Saison, bez wyraźnego aromatu, bez brettów, z niewielką ilością fenoli i estrów. Sporo brakuje do belgijskich odpowiedników.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2016 12 oz bottle. A hazy orange color with a thick, bubbly, lasting white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, oranges, apricot, spices and hops. Oranges, lemon juice, white pepper, clove, and coriander. Heavy carbonation adds body to a juicy beer.

A corked bomber pour into a tulip glass. Appearance is a hazy golden orange. A short white head dissipates quickly. No lacing. Aroma is typically Saison – funky, earthy, like a damp cellar. Flavor is the typical banana and clove from the yeast, but with some fruity sweetness like apple, pear and peaches, balanced nicely with a dry finish from the hops. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Very prickly on tongue from carbonation.

Bottle, no date. Bright golden in color, not pale, yellow hue, pretty clear. Average white head. Rich belgian fruity esters, pears, apple cider, residual sweetness, burnt sugar (I think of carpet). Great herbal, noble hop finish. Very smooth drinking.

Bottle from AA. Belgian estery nose with some peach and green apple. Boozy on the palate, with a slight watery mouthfeel. Some spice and more fruit. Overly sweet and boozy. Really not very saison-like to be honest...more of a Belgian strong ale. Disappointing.

Clear gold with medium white head. Aroma of spice, yeast, butterscotch. Taste is bitter hops, pepper, stone fruit. Good saison but not great. Very similar to Boulevard Tank 7.

Bottle. Amber beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is spiced with bitterness, and the flavour is dry and bitter with good warming spices. Overall a nice Belgian style beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’ place. Thanks Excellent Little Brother for the delivery. Hazy, murky and headless. Orange peel, cayenne pepper, some cookie dough aroma. Sweet and fruity taste, a little yeasty bitterness, pear too. Full body, very carbonated, fruity finish.

Very good, candy sweet finish with Belgian spices. Medium full body though refreshing light feel to it.
