A rustic ale, pale in color, inspired by the rich brewing traditions of the Flanders region. Abundant hops and a Belgian yeast strain contribute exotic aromas af tropical fruit.

Editor’s Note: previously known as Whole Foods Silver Jubilee.

Shared bottle at Nøgne Ø, Grimstad. Pours murky golden with a nice white head, typical for a saison. Aromas and flavor of spices, fruits and belgian funk. Full body. I’m not the greatest fan of so high alcohol levels in a saison, but the alcohol is well masked in this one.

Interesting tasty saison. I would prefer it to be toned down a bit. It is deep orange with soft carbonation. Most saisons I had before are quite fresh with a medium body. This one has a rich full flavor. Yeast notes, tropical fruit and spices with bitter hops in the after taste. Quite a flavor bomb.

Very tasty saison. Poors sparkling clear golden with frothy white head. Nice saison yeast up front lemon and slight spice in the mix with barn and lawn mowing. Very thirst quenching. Would buy again.

(North Coast Le Merle) Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a teku, ABV 7.9% Deep orange colour on the body, mostly clear, with a small and thin white head on top, witt average retention. Nice fruity aroma, peaches, apricot, alcohol. Taste is also fruity, peaches, light saison yeast, alcohol, sugar, apricot. Not much difference than a standard belgian blond imo. Medium thin body, high carbonation. Nice and drinkable but not what I would consider a saison.

330ml bottle. Pours unclear golden with a medium white head. Aroma of yeasts, barnyard, lemon zest and fruits, nice. Flavour is perfectly balanced between sweetness and bittetness with a nice sourish end. Medium body, medium carbonation. Very good!

12oz bb10/2015 (says Derer Import sticker overlabeling the original. Tip to importers: please don’t overlabel). - Good, thinner blonde pour, fizzy. Clean yeast-fruity nose without the phenolic fusels: pear and banana peel meet a hint of hop orchard exotics (apple blosom goes pineapple-sweet) and a whiff of US-domesticated brett aluminium. Nice and dry, grainy hay palate transporting measured out, even cautious doses of dry orchard fruits on a foregrounded Dupont yeast taste profile, -very clean Moinette Blonde tribute altogether, not a bad example. (7,9%: "super saison" or abbey style tripel?)

Delicious. Pours a bright coppery gold with a thick but porous white head that subsides to a mere layer of bubbles. Plenty of lacing splotches on the glass are welcome. The nose is fruity, floral, mildly spiced with a pinch of lemon zest and wheat malts. Coriander and leafy green notes. Mild toasty malts, light sweetness up front with a mild hop presence. Spice is well woven and balanced with the florality and estery notes. Love this brew!

(bottle, 35.5cl) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a firm and off-white foamy head of medium size. Fruit-accented aroma, slightly overripe fruits, citrus, oranges, shades of cara-malt and yeasty spice. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Initially moderately sweet (cara-)malty and mildly fruity taste with an elegantly rising hops character, including, herbal-spicy and delicately resiny notes; medium-dry, mildly bitter hoppy and sweet malty finish. 12.V.15

From bottle into pint glass. Light orange color, light lemon, some funk. Sweet, no bitterness, good carbonation. Generic.
