Color is a hazy golden yellow with a med white head. I smell fruits, yeast and malt. I taste all of the same with spice, a little banana and light hops in the finish. Very good saison.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
What the funk? Meaty tropical fruit mash-up aroma with yeast and metal . Glowing copper, fairly still. Coppery, salty sweet taste, has more in common with the strong bieres de garde than most saisons. There seems to be a tendency to imperialize everything, but here the result is quite good. Slick and sharp at once. Formerly a Whole Foods contract brew? Not in these parts anyway.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml corked and caged bottle. Cloudy pale yellow orange, big white creamy foam slowly settles and mostly lasts. Luscious tropical fruity aroma, spicy and yeasty. Yeasty tropical fruit taste, citrus, some bitter farmyard funk, mild sweet malts. Lively carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. ABV well hidden. Tartens a bit, finishes yeasty bitter. 4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/17/2014. Pours slightly cloudy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge lemon zest, peach, apricot, pear, apple, orange peel, straw, grass, pepper, clove, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester and moderate malt presence; and great strength. Taste of big lemon zest, peach, apricot, apple, pear, orange peel, clove, pepper, straw, grass, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of lemon zest, peach, apricot, apple, pear, orange peel, clove, pepper, straw, grass, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors with moderate malt sweetness; with an awesome malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with smooth, crisp, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic saison! All around awesome complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast ester and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml. bottle with cork and cage. North Coast Brewery does it again, this is an exceptional saison! Aroma of pineapple, oranges, and nutty Belgian yeast. Nice orange/gold pour with a billowing white head that leaves lacing. Very balanced flavor, notes of citrus, earthy, nutty yeast. It has just the right amount of hops for the style and is very refreshing. Highly carbonated, creamy texture, medium body, and smooth finish. The price was good for this quality, around $7 for the bottle. And it has an abv of 7.9% which is well hidden and quite strong for a saison.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ Parker Pie. Pours a nice and light golden with a thin white head that leaves really nice lacing patterns. Aroma hits the right spot: fruity and really saison-esque. Taste is also fruity and loaded with fresh cereals. Not really bitter, a classic saison. Ends on lightly sweet but mainly fruity notes. Body is moderate, carbonation high. Really nice, I’d drink that again and again!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a 375ml corked bottle into an older stem Stella glass. Pours a golden yellow with a giant head and lace. Aroma of barnyard and field herbs. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of amber malts, lemon verbena, lemongrass, slight white pepper. Overall a very flavorful and drinkable saison without too much herb, citrus, or pepper bite.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The color is a deep cloudy golden color with a large white head that fades fairly quickly to a white ring, and the subtle aroma blends sour fruit and Belgian yeast. The taste is a pleasant blend of a mild sweetness and a mild sourness, and the palate fuses a fizzy carbonation, medium body, slick texture, and a long finish.
