A rustic ale, pale in color, inspired by the rich brewing traditions of the Flanders region. Abundant hops and a Belgian yeast strain contribute exotic aromas af tropical fruit.

Editor’s Note: previously known as Whole Foods Silver Jubilee.

From bottle. Nice funky aroma, bit of sulfur with some citrus and yeasty notes. Carbonic gaseousness and slight bubblegum. Cloudy golden amber with while rocky-frothy lacing head. Medium body with vigorous carbonation. Starts medium dry with wheat and light yeast astringency. Bubblegum, coriander, and honey. Sweet finish with mild chalky after. Nice saison.

Pours gold with medium head. Aroma: ctirus fruit elements (orange, lemon), "horse blanket", herbs and spices (coriander?). Taste: citrus fruits and herbs, followed by a pretty dry finish. The body is medium, as well as the carbonation. It is drinkable and refreshing, I would not say it has 7,9% ABV.

Dick und fluffig mit ein wenig Getreide, Vanille und Keks im Hintergrund. Mund voll, heftige Perlung, jedoch durch seine Schwere recht beruhigend und befriedigend im Abschluss Alles ok hier.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer has got a hazy golden-strawy colour with a steady low head and medium body. Medium carbonation. Aroma of wheat and bread. Taste of wheat, light yeast, bread, flowers, mild fruits and basement. Hints of oranges and dough. Smooth and easy to drink, enjoyed it.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Le Merle pours a hazy tangerine with a thick bubbly ivory head that lasts a long while. The aroma is wheat orange peel along with other citrus fruits. The flavor is wheat, orange peel, citrus and floral. Overall this is a pretty solid beer. There is plenty of flavor to go around and it hides the ABV well.

Pours a hazy light color. Hoppy aroma with floral citrus notes. The taste continues the sweetness smelled earlier, but there’s added hints of citrus sourness and grass. Aftertaste adds a yeasty/flour flavor. A full body, but there’s slightly too much carbonation. A very nice sipping beer.

One my favorite saisons. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, peach, hint of grass. Flavor has some of that same sweetness, but balanced with lemon, a touch of sourness, and a good dose of bracing hops. Not quite with Dupont, but excellent.

Hazy orange body with a thick, off-white head. Aromas include stone fruits, yeast, a touch of fruity hops. Apple, pear, melon, Belgian yeast strain. Moderate sweetness. More akin to a tripel than a saison. Decent, but one pour is plenty. Sweet + alcohol = limited drinkability.

Bottle - good size foamy head, medium gold color, nice good size tropical fruit hop aroma and flavor, moderate malt backbone, mild yeasty spiciness, very good overall

Classic Belgian yeast fruity clove aroma.Hazy orange body with reddish center. Head foams up quick but steadily dwindles as it laces the glass nicely. Light bitterness. Light citrus tart taste. Peppery champagne mouth feel. Refreshing soft fruity tart finish.
