Rich light brown foam. Lovely aromas of little nuts, toasted malt and dark chocolate. The taste is dark caramel, dark bitter chocolate and rye bread. It is a slightly sweet stout with chocolate as the main theme that is neither too sweet or too bitter. Very well-brewed stout ease the concerns of all elements one stout should have. Towards the end you will find a little more sweetness in the form of cane sugar. A nice stout that tastes amazing.

Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake Taniguchi). Moderate dark roast nose, lightly spiced chocolate. Dark translucent brown color, tan head. Chocolate all over the front end, dark fruit, small bit of licorice. Bitterness emerges quite late and sticks briefly. Medium body. Just a bit thin, but very tasty.

Bottle. Dark colour, not sticky and dark brown head. It has hazy, roasty aroma of the dark malts and so does tastes, runs more richly. Finishes a little dry hoppy flavour. Overall, typically well-balanced stout of predictable tasting system.

Some coffee and sweetness not dry stout smelling to me. Very lean in mouthfeel some coffe and some residual malts that was off with leanness.

Poured from a 12 fl oz bottle into a pint glass. There was no bottled or best by date on the bottle. The beer poured a rich opaque black colour with a bit less than one finger caramel tan head that dissipates quickly leaving a small amount of lacing. Aromas are a bit weak, but mainly of roasted malts, cocoa dark chocolate and brown sugar. There is also a slight amount coffee mixed in. Tastes of sweet cocoa and roasted malts followed by brown sugar, milk chocolate, coffee and maybe a small amount of caramel. Creamy, sticky, light to medium bodied with light carbonation and a small alcohol kick. Overall this was a decent stout that may be a little bit on the sweet side. However when compared to Guinness, I have to say that Iím leaning towards Guinness for a variety of reasons. Itís not as sweet, only one-third of the cost, and a lot easier to find in Hong Kong since its available in every supermarket.

Draught at the North Coast Taproom, Fort Bragg, CA.
Dark brown almost black colour with a small to mid-size creamy tan head. Mild dry roasted malt, mild bitterness and mild liquorice in the aroma. The flavour is dry roasted malt, moderate bitterness and mild coffee. Balanced. Dry and roasted.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque black with a solid tan head, bands of lace. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste is toasted malt with coffee and a bit of chocolate that moves firm;y through the swallow to a lightly hopped finish. Big-bodied, balanced, enjoyable.
