Pours almost black with a nice creamy/tan head. Smells of some malts, coffee, toffee, chocolate, smokey and nuts. Subtle flavors of sweetness along with every flavor the aroma promised. A little dry and bitter finish, same with the carbonation, a little. Had everything you could want in a stout just more mild than I would like in each category. I very much enjoyed this and could drink as many as I please.

shared by yours truly at paul’s tasting. Pours really dark. Strong arouma of prunes and chocolate notes. Nice flavor profile of roasted malts and smokey chocolates. Finishes with some coffee-like bitterness. Nice and tasty, if a little unexperimental.

Pours a deep, opaque sable with a thick, fine-bubbled, fairly persistent beige head. Aroma is strong, smoky and oily with undertones of unsweetened chocolate and molasses and just a whiff of coffee. Smoky flavor has a woody undertone as well as firm tones of molasses and mocha. Texture is smooth and fairly tingly, leaving a satisfying and slightly gritty finish.

Bottle at Paul’s tasting. Pours a deep black with a thin white head. Roast and chocolate, with a hint of plums. Medium bodied, plums and cookies. Long roasty finish. Tasty.

From an old rating note: 12oz bottle. dark brown pour with big creamy tan head. aroma of chocolate, malt and caramel. light, dry and chalky palate. tastes of coffee and bitter chocolate. off metallic vibe in the finish also.

12 oz. bottle. Not much of a head on this thing at all. The head was slightly off-white, but it faded away so damn fast. Black body. Sweet chocolate and a slight roast. A lot more pungent than other dry stouts that I have tried. Sweet chocolate malts are coming through foremost. Rather thin and a bit smokey. This beer has a nice roast and subtle sweet chocolate flavor. Smoke and roast are coming through more as the beer warms. Not a bad palate i.e. not as thin as other dry stouts. Pretty good.

very easy drinking stout and no flaws that I can pick. But it is kinda thin and watery, too carbonated. good flavor and aroma but weak and too faint.

Mild aroma with a black colored appearance. Lighter taste and bitterness for a stout.

very light and fluffy- mouthfeel of a nitro beer. Smooth and really drying to the mouth. Little bit of clove spiciness. Really fun to drink, I oculd down a whole session of these.
