I really like this one. It has less cholcolate than most "stouts" that you get. I for one am sick of choclate beer. Please---everyone who wants to make a new stout, go drink Guinness. That’s what it SHOULD be like. Ok, off my soapbox. This is a fantastic beer to drink tons of. Not too heavy, no unpleasant aftertaste. It seems to be pretty low alcohol as well. Still wonder about all this organci crap.

(bottle) clear very dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of caramel, roast, fruit; flavour disappointing after the aroma - weak and watery, balanced

Roasty and malty. Easy to drink. Very smooth. This makes a good intro stout for someone I believe.

12 oz bottle purchased at John’s Grocery and poured into a pint glass at home. Black appearance with an average, light brown head. Aroma dark malts, roast, dark fruit, licorice, earthy hops and a touch of red wine. Similar flavor, toasty, nutty and malty, lightly fruity, adding chocolate, coffee and light hop bitterness. Medium body, pretty creamy and smooth finishing slightly dry and lingering. Pretty rich, yet easy to drink.

pours clear dark brown, red tint, with a creamy light beige head, some retention and lacing. coffee and chocolate malts, dust and minerals, earthy tones, some woodsy and fruity notes, slightly ashy and chalky, hint of soy sauce and coconut. average to moderate carbonation, medium body - oily, dry and bittering grassy-peppery-bitter coffee finish. straightforward by the book stout. nicely crafted.

Pours a slightly translucent dark brown color with a decent tan head and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and milk chocolate. Chocolate up front in the taste with a developing roastiness that adds some hop elements by mid-palate. The finish is dry and somewhat crisp. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. An alright standard stout but somewhat lackluster. Would drink again but have had better.

Ah, Guinness is nice, but this brew Americanized the dry stout w/ west coast hops...and considering that I’m a fan of Guinness & an American this is just what the Dr ordered. Had off nitro at wob. Sips with chocolate undertones and finishes with creamy milky coffee flavor. Medium/full bodied with just enough hop bitterness to make this brew seem dry & not sweet. Excellent brew!

Bottle from Londonderry Quick Stop. Pours a dark brown bordering on black with a huge off white head that takes a few to recede. Aromas of roast and hints of caramel, dried fruit, and chocolate. The flavor follows the aroma quite well. Slightly tart roasted grains with a hint of caramel and chocolate. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick almost creamy mouthfeel. Decent stout, I could drink it, but its not one of my favorites.
