Aroma thick coffee. Appearance, frothy tan head with good lacing and mostly diminishing. Body is pitch black and head is creamy. Flavor is semi-sweet real dark chocolate with light/moderate bitters. Palate is medium, texture is oily Imp stout, flat carbo, with a moderate finish. One of my top 5 stouts of all the world. It’s so close but misses something on the finish. An oak aged version might reach perfection.

One of the best stouts I’ve ever tasted. Dark and smooth with a slight bitter finish.

Delicious barley covers it! Amazingly well balanced with tons of chocolate and coffee riding smoothly along on a river of alcohol bite! Baught bottled, cant wait to find it on draft!

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Strong chocolate scent. Bottled. Had a bouquet of coffee and chocolate taste with slight hints of caramel. Beautiful.

Very dark brown to almost black in color with a tan head that dissipates leaving some lacing. Nose is bursting with chocolate, coffee, maybe a hint of vanilla and cherry in there as well. Chocolate, espresso, and molasses with a hop bitterness in the end make up the taste. Mouthfeel has pretty low carbonation, maybe a little less would make it perfect, definately full bodied and thick. This beer is just wonderful, I definately need to get some more.

Pours dark brown/black with a small creamy tan head. Strong chocolate, raisin, and black coffee aromas. Flavor has lively notes of dark chocolate, lots of dark fruit (raisin, plum), a little alcohol is present, nice coffee like bitternss, and some creamy mocha like qualities. Palate is full and viscous, dark chocolate and bitterness hang on for a long dry finish. Great complexity and balance.
