As a continuation of North Coast Brewing Co.ís commitment to quality, our Old Stock Ale is crafted in the tradition of our critically acclaimed Pranqster Belgian Style Golden Ale and Old Rasputin Imperial Stout. Itís brewed with classic floor-malted Maris Otter Pale Malt and Fuggles Hops imported from England, so itís a beer to be served proudly. Like a fine wine, North Coastís Old Stock Ale is intended to be laid down. With an original gravity of over 1100 and a generous hopping rate, Old Stock Ale is well-designed to round-out and mellow with age. North Coast Brewing Co. Old Stock Ale is a vintage dated ale. We produce a small quantity each year and it remains available from release date until our stock is depleted.

Bottle shared with MrHangover. Clear red color, medium sized quite quickly diminishing a bit fizzy beige head. Aroma is malts, nice fruityness, dark fruits, caramel. Taste malts, caramel, dark fruits, balanced sweetness. Alcohol well hidden, very drinkable, very balanced, good body and soft carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle 2015 vintage, courtesy of Benzai. Pours a clear amber beer with a quickly disappearing off white head on top. Aroma of mostly red fruits, caramelized malts, slightly booze. Flavor is very sweet and fruity with a nice alcoholic backbone. Aftertaste is very boozy and sweet with soft carbonation and a light sticky mouthfeel. Very nice!

(bottle, 35.5cl, vintage 2014) Slightly hazy, copper to brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Slightly buttery caramel-malty aroma with nutty notes, sugar, subtle fruity accents and a whiff of alcohol. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Rich malt character with notes of caramel, butterscotch, pistachios, also subtle fruity accents; sweet malty and slightly bitter finish with a lasting cornucopia of flavours and a warming alcoholic strength. Very good. 22.IX.15

12oz bottle - 2007 vintage. Reddish-brown hue w/some finings and a tan head of moderate height. Sugared date & fig nose. Boozy - almost like it was BBA. Tasty: aged fruit & caramel. Full body and nedium+ carbonation.

In Bar Viriato, Sevilla. In wine cup. With Viriato Burger. 5?. Pleasantly warm. Really nice in aroma and taste. To drink with care because of its high ABV

Taste Vintage 2009 on August 2014. Sweet and malty aroma with hints of nutmeg and spices. Pours a medium cloudy brown color with a moderate head. Goes down smoothly expanding on the sweet aroma with an almost bourbon flavor. Just enough carbonation without being too strong. Full body with strong flavor. One of the better beers Iíve had.

Bottle. 2014 vintage. Pours a murky reddish brown. Off white head. Smells of caramel, butterscotch, malts, some alcohol. Tastes similar. Moderately sweet followed by a moderate bitterness. Medium bodied; average carbonation; lasting, lightly bitter finish.

33cl bottle served in a snifter. Clear dark tan colour with a few bubbles but certainly not enough to constitute a head. Aroma is just sweet shop sweetness - caramel, toffee, sugary sweetness. If ever there was a beer to submit you into a diabetic coma this would be it. Flat taste profile with just varying levels of sweetness offered. Very disappointing as I am a massive fan of Rasputin from the same brewery and thought I would give this a shot. I ended up giving over half of it away. Disappointing.
