Hopper (277), San Antonio, Texas, USA Nov 9, 2009 A clear golden beer with no head. The aroma had alcohol. The taste had a very light fruit taste with alcohol. Not that enjoyable & I was glad I got a single & a 4 pack. phaleslu (428), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 7, 2009 12 oz. bottle from The Party Source. Pours a cloudy gold with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweet Belgian malts, honey, apricot, straw, tropical fruits, and yeast. Flavor follows suit. Low carbonation, medium body, sweet, and smooth. Minimal carbonation, which makes for a bready and sticky-sweet mouthfeel. Dry finish. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 27, 2009 Dark murky orange, thin off white cover. Yeasty ester aroma, some fruit but also something cardboardy or just dull, florals. Taste is dry, fruity, fleshy peaches, more yeast spicing. CUJO (339), Brooklyn, New York, USA Oct 11, 2009 750ml bottle: Oh my sweet baby Jes-s this beer is terrible. Just terrible. Zero carbonation. Looked like apricot nectar. Tasted like rotting apricot nectar... overly sweet, fermented sugars. Drain pour! Highly overrated!!! PilsnerPeter (2598), Flushing, New York, USA Oct 9, 2009 Tap at Barcade: Hazy golden with a dense white film of head. Sweet aroma- honeyish sweet Belgian pale malts- residual maltose giving it a vanilla character and a graham cracker note. Fluffy feel. The flavor is similar with a graham cracker hint and apparent of residual maltose (honeyish). Some dusty phenols help dry it out slightly- yet it’s not enough to balance it. (American brewers should use less percentage of all-grains when making Belgian style ales and more adjunct.) Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Oct 7, 2009 On tap at Barcadia Dallas and Gingerman Fort Worth. Weak aroma. Apple and banana flavors. Alcohol finish. Crash (447), Macomb, Illinois, USA Oct 7, 2009 I wasn’t able to take good notes on this one. So basically if you are reading this, I’m sorry. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 7, 2009 One of the first really amazing brews from the West Coast I tried. Not over the top blow the mind, but a great six pack style Belgian. Candy like to a certain extent. Yum for what it is!!
