3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear golden, decent head and lace. Nose of light malt, banana, corriander and a hint of wheat. Medium bodied, sweet, citrusy, nice wheat and yeast notes, some bitterness. Very well balanced and rounded. Good brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2003 I'm rather disappointed in this. I didn't find it very Belgian in flavor. It really tasted EXACTLY like a batch of homebrew I did, when I got the idea of brewing a hefeweizen but with more malt. That's all it really was to me, just a stronger hefeweizen. For what it is, it is good. But I don't consider this a Belgian and it's slightly overpriced. All the characteristics of a hefeweizen on steroids. Good for what it is. North Coast seems to be hit-and-miss and this is one of their misses. Not worth the money, and it only came in a 4-pack. I regret buying this.

Hazy golden orange, with a quickly disapating white head. Fruity yeasty aroma. Flavors of yeast, pear and apples. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Beautiful tangerine color - although the head's a bit thin. There's quite a bit of yeast chillin' in the bottle, so much in fact that I accidentally poured some in and there's still a good inch of beer left there. Without surprise this is quite yeasty, generally bubblegummy - the traditional generic Belgian yeast. So many American brewers do this when using the Belgian yeast...I'm beginning to lose faith.

I wasn't too impressed with this beer. It didn't smell very good and it tasted kind like woody flavor. It kind of grows on you though. It wasn't bad, but not great.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hmmm...I think this one is decent. A slightly bitter, hoppy, orange-nosed brew, with some hints of sweetness that balance it all out. Yeasty and cakey aroma, spicy finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Yeasty, fruity nose - cloudy golden, tiny white lacing - flavor is a bit thin, but has decent combination of yeastiness, grainy flavors, floral hops, slight sweetness - finish is a bit watery - a decent effort, but falls short.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This Ale radiates a beautiful foggy golden orange body and a bulky yet somehow compact head. Nose of coriander, orange pulp, and yeasty bread like similarities. Very delicate oily mouth feel. The flavor reminds me of angel food cake, notes of honey, and melons, Yes; that’s it, Honeydew. I will end it with that a ripe golden honeydew melon, so ripe its oozing, so sweet your lips are sticky, ok, somehow this rating took a turn to the sexual side so I’m out.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
First off let me preface this rating with the fact that I am new to Belgian style ales (I have only had about 5 different ones). I don't understand why some don't like this one. Very peach to citrus aroma with lime tones. Poured very orange and cloudy. A bit sweet for my taste but compared to the other Belgian ale's I have had this one compares quite well with this style. Palate was a little too rich and somewhat unbalanced but not bad.
