4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aggressive yeast, in terms of aroma and taste for a Belgium, but otherwise true to its style. Coriander, vanilla, nutmeg. Quite quafable. Sweet-spicy. Medium-full mouthfeel.

Thanks to my neighbor for this one. Though I am not a big fan of Belgian ales this one was pretty good. Quite warming and easy to drink.

Hazy golden color with yeast sediment at the bottom and an off white head. Banana, belgium yeasts, and cloves in the aroma. Some faint candy sweetness too. A bit of floral in the taste, but more yeasts and sugary sweetness. Tasty, and recommended.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2005 This is one of the coolest bottle labels I have ever seen. Something about the jovial guys drinking in a nice lil’ pub makes me happy. This beer adds to that happiness, with its light fruit flavors and tangy citrus bite. Would like to see this one offered as a corked bottle.

Aroma speaks of bananna and clove...quite typical for the style. Appearance is slightly cloudy, orange. Flavor begins as an explosion of Belgian goodness, but tapers off quickly. Doesn’t leave much to write home about. Not a bad beer at all....but needs some longevity

Poured a burnt orange with a very small, rapidly dissipating white head. Aroma of bread, fruit and a touch of alcohol. This beer has a lot going on - apples, bananas, spice, and a bit of hop bitterness in the finish. I’m pleasantly surprised.

Pours a rich, hazy gold with a creamy head. Aroma is floral and yeasty with a rouch of alcohol. Flavor is sweet with a nice, warm alcohol finish. Medium bodied with a very silky mouthfeel. A great Belgian ... especially considering it’s Californian in origin. Very pleasant, warm, complex beer.

A nice beer... Somewhat sharp, but a good smattering of flavors. Complex, but very good flavor. Flowery and clovish. Good beer!

Very nice coloration (copper & gold), thin white bubbly head. Aroma is honey, a bit nutty, that belgian yeast, and alcohol. Taste is corriander, cinnamon, nutmeg, belgian yeast, i’m liking this belgian, very nice.
