After the pour, looks like an orange candle with all of the sediment in suspended animation! Pleasent nectar-like aroma. Full bodied, could eat with a spoon. Strong, smooth finish - great example of the style.

Nice cloudy golden color, rapidly dissapating white head, spicy aroma. Malty sweet finish, smooth and refreshing. Not a bad american Belgian beer, not as good as Victory’s Golden Monkey. Actually, it is rather bland compared to most Belgian style beers.

A little plain, and light. Not bad though. I wouldnt compare it to duvel, and certainly wouldnt pour it out either.

Cloudy golden color with a ridiculous amount of sediment. Beautiful long lasting yellow head. Kind of a flowery citrus smell. Initial taste is that of oranges & lemons (Oranges & Lemons, by the way, also happens to be the name of an excellent CD by XTC. Completely unrelated, but it popped into my head, so I thought I’d share). Not too complex, but flavorful and refreshing.

I typically do not like american style belgians but this is a very good beer and representative of the style.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Merc (313) - Pullman, Washington, USA - SEP 8, 2002
I found this to be a fine belgian. Strong all around - strongly spiced, hopped, and a bit too strongly carbonated for me. Well balanced, not too sweet. Lots of fruit, but not too much banana, a nice change for a belgian. The alcohol was well hidden. Strong wheat and yeast characters.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Gregory (357) - Pullman, Washington, USA - SEP 8, 2002
I think this is prety good, for this style of beer. nice sweet aroma, spicey, perhaps coriander? Fruit tones throught the beer, slightly bitter finish.

Uh, not good. Not even close to a "real Belgian" ale.
