3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pleasant banana/orange aroma. Dark yellow and orange color. Small head with no lacing. Bananas and citrus is all I can taste. Nothing I would want to write home about. At all.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
$2.09 for a 12-oz single.
GREAT appearance. Light orange with a nice head. Slightly cloudy.
Either the subconscious is working its wonders right now with the color, but I swear I smell some pumpkin in there.
Slightly pear in flavor- lots of bitterness in the finish. Doesn't completely do the trick for me- but not bad.
This is a drinkable beer- but not really one that's for me. I definitely see how others will enjoy the hell out of it, though!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thin head with good carbonation that keeps a light foam on the top. Aroma is fruity and has a distinct aroma of Dow scrubbing bubbles. Took me a while to come up with the aroma but is a dead on match. Color is a cloudy orange. Flavor is great. Full bodied with more fruit, spices, alcohol, yeast and some other stuff thrown in. A little on the sweet side. Finish is a little sour but still good. Nice alcohol warming as it goes down. A very good belgian ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(sampled at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden). Golden with some haze. Large foamy white head. Yeasty and nice fruity aroma. Taste of sweet malt, coriander, yeast with some excellent spices. Quite bitter and yeasty finish. The first american belgian-style ale I've sampled. And it's really good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2003 bottle. Light belgian style aroma, moderate yeastiness at best, but good banana and clove. Pours a light gold with some deeper amber-honey hues. Huge bright, off-white head. Started at about 53 degrees and it was wonderful. Light citrusy/phenolic taste. Bubbly and lightly sharp/sour. Big honey-lemon flavor with some nice, albeit light malt flavor. Quite flavorful. I put it down for a bit and came back, unfortunately, now at about 57-59 degrees, it had completely flattened but did not ring in the delicate complexity that real belgians do when they have settled. Muddled and too sweet now. Hmmm, will try again but I'm pretty sure it will be the same thing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy golden body with a thin, white head. The aroma is fruity, malty, yeasty and sweet. Honey, caramel, oranges, mango, cotton candy, lemon and dough. A moderate body with a slightly short finish. The flavors are nice and really accentuate the aroma. Pleasant sweet fruit with just a kick of light hops in the end to balance. A tasty beer, to be sure.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2004 Super-hazy, yeasty vivid orange. Quirky appearance, but forebodes a formidable yeasty goodness. Aroma is leathery, clove-like, slight grapefruit and orange, and slightly sour. Slight tarnish of bacon grease/ ham hock. Flavor is initially sour building into a pleasant tea-like sweetness. Metallic (tin) sidetracks. Musty, noble bitterness that builds throughout the swallow. Very smooth drinking and quite pleasant. Downsides are the meaty notes in the aroma and metallicness in flavor. Superb carbonation level laminates a creamily smooth body. A bargain @ $4.99/4 pack.
