4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
PranQster pours a nice, deep, hazy straw yellow with a light, frothy white head that stands at about two fingers and dissipates quickly.
Lots of spicy fruit on the nose. Sweet and almost tropical on the top but supported well by the classic "Belgian spice".Banana also lying underneath the tropical fruit scent. There’s a yeasty bready smell here lingering around too. Very crisp and refreshing on the olfactory
Very crisp Belgian spice taste with some remarkable earthy flavors. Sweet on the center but not as tropical as on the nose. I get some bread and yeast but only on the back of the tongue. Definitely dominated by the Belgian yeast.
Crisp and carbonated as a Belgian should be.
Really tasty Belgian style for a reasonable price. I’ve yet to be let down by North Coast and this is just another easy drinker Belgian that proves their worth.

Got this on tap @ Starry Plough Oakland. Aroma was floral, citrus. Nice lively sparkling yellow gold with no head. Taste followed the smell: orange, lemon, floral and herbs. Well balanced. No heavy aftertaste, dissipated quickly. I liked it

Single bottle from W&M Mansfield. Poured into a tulip. A deep golden amber with a frothy off-white head that settles to a thick lace. Classic Belgian yeast profile. Bready backbone with earthy-citrus flavors. Well-balanced bitterness and candy sweetness.

12oz Rudat via Derer Imp. ("MHD 10/2015", but what about the original BB date?). - Odd starchy pollen nose, green banana peel, mild honey, thin clove. Tastes transported on a thin and almost too clean mouthfeel for a Belgian ale (although I do welcome the lack of Liquid candi sugar-powered Belgian slick-oiliness on the palate here): honeyed malts, banana peel, sweet grapejuice, an odd tinny hop bitterness. Feels deliberately "composed" instead of grown into an organic whole, but is actually quite drinkable and very dry, without those style-defining fuming phenols.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pour a light reddish-orange. Sediment abound. A confusing ale. Smells of starch and grapefruit. Wheat and malt and citrus and spice. Feels holiday-like. Unpleasant like one too.

3oz sampe at Cerveza Mexico 2015. Clear light golden with a minimal head. Sweet citrus and sour tart and barnyard aromas. Sweet and sour as expected, with a strong Belgian malt character and a fruity and stinging bitter finish.
