COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers’ art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

I usually don’t like beer with high alcohol content, and this time it wasn’t different.

Bottle from Brewdog mail order. Pours hazy golden, not much head. For me it’s a bit sweet, and a bit too close to a wheat beer to be a real belgian ale. Cloves, banana, yeast, toffee. There’s a strong ale in here trying to get out but it’s a bit swamped by sweetness. Close but no cigar.

Bottle from BottleDog, Edinburgh. Hazy golden body with a rocky white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of straw, overripe orange and white pepper. Flavour of spices, sweet malt and apricot. Medium body witth a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. Too sweet for me.

Excellent Belgium ale. Smooth flavor with decent ABV. I love that it's brewed in my home state of California ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice Belgian yeast aroma, slight touch of wit style banana. Floral initial flavour, with a sharp and spicy finish.

It pours a light golden with a full head that is white packed with small bubbles. There are aromas of pils malt, sweet fruity esters of lemon, spices, and earthly yeast. It has flavors of pils malt that provides a sweet flavor, there are lemon like flavors, with spices, and some earthly yeasts. I has a light feel in the texture with a mostly dry and moderately bitter finish.

On tap in LA. Pour is golden, white head. Fruity belgian yeast esters, sweet up front, finish not particularly dry but still nice. A solid Belgian golden ale, readily available at a good price.

Pranqster has a smooth, subtly fruity taste that dissipates pretty quickly. It looks and feels like a nice Belgian ale should, and it isn’t really lacking any one thing, but it doesn’t hit you in the face with how good it is—it’s a beer I’d drink more than once, but not one I’d gush over to friends.

Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2015. Fruity smell with pale bread, yeasty and spicy. Similar taste with pale bread. Refreshing.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2016 Orangey-coriander nose, spritzy. Faint tropical fruit flavors, with a sugary, rather than malty, sweetness. Bittering is a bit coarse, overall flavor is a bit one-dimensional, just sugar-bitter. Warming palate, but with a slightly harsh bitter aftertaste. Good Belgian style beer, but not a masterpiece.

Bottle from stirchley wines and shared with Richthevillan. Golden beer with small head. Aroma of yeast and citrus and a hint of citrus. Taste is citrus, some bubblegum, yeast and Some lemon. Decent.
