troopie (517), USA Jun 16, 2007 Bottle. Lovely floral and citrusy aroma. Golden colour with a medium sized lasting white much lacing. Malty flavour, rich strong body with that quality found in actual Belgian ale. Lingering floral finish. I relish this one much
durhambeer (546), Durham, USA Oct 15, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden pour with orange tint. Yummy citrus on the nose as well as a bit of hops and tons of bready yeast. Bananas and spice. As others have noted, this is not the most complex beer around, but it’s quite flavorful and easy to drink. I also think I tend to like Belgian golden ales more than most folks. Seems to be an underappreciated style. branspra (53), Arlington, Virginia, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle. Huge head with golden body color. Aromas of vanilla, citrus, banana, and flowers. Lively taste with a short duration on the palate. Good but not great Belgian beer. beer_4_me (8), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada does not count Oct 3, 2008 Not a great Belgian style ale in my opinion. When I poured it, my hopes were up. It poured with a nice rocky white head on it. Sadly within seconds the head disappeared. Something not quite right there? Taste? A little too sweet and lacking in depth for me. I have always enjoyed beers from this first class brewery, but this one is not one i would buy again. Not quite as complex as a real Belgian brew either. mgermani (621), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 28, 2008 Pours a crystal clear gold with a minimal head with poor retention and a yeasty sweet aroma. Taste is typical Belgian blonde with quite a bit of apple cider going on. Moderate carbonation with a thin body. Nothing special here. SHANER4 (211), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 27, 2008 Poured hazy golden color with alot of floaties and no head. Floral aroma and wheat malt flavor. Dry finish and also tasted cloves, not bad.
