Clove nose. Yellow color, thick vanishing head. Tastes of clove, sgar, and tin. Weak lemon grass finish. Poorly blended, underfermented. Not what I expected from North Coast.

Jul 19, 2008 bottle. Pours a bright golden straw color, thin fizzy head that clears pretty quick, leaving a decent ring. Light aromas of candi sugar sweetness, some apricots and orange peels. Flavors tend more towards the sharp side, some pepper, yeasty notes, a decent amount of booze, some grainy sweetness, and a touch of floral hop notes. Very well balanced across the flavors. Clean enough on the palate, a bit on the thick side. Very enjoyable brew.

Jul 16, 2008 Nose has a lot of hefeweizen-yeast character. Heavy and sweet with banana and light clove/pepper notes. Color is a fairly clear yellow-orange with no head. A well-balanced menagerie of caramel, clove, pepper, alcohol, and banana. Sweet but nowhere near cloying. Good mouthfeel, thick but still almost gulpable.

Jul 16, 2008 Pours hazy golden with thin head. Aroma is light and grassy. Just a hint of citrus. Flavor is mildly sweet. Body is light/medium. I’m surprised at how mild this beer is overall.

Jul 15, 2008 12 fl oz brown bottle. Gold in colour, hint of haze. Head is white, short lasting, fades to a ring around the glass. Hints of orangey hop in the aroma. Flavour is malty, bread notes, sweet citrus hops. Some fruitiness. Ends dryly with some yeast notes. Medium body with strong carbonation.

Jul 15, 2008 Poured from tap at Marin Brew Breast Fest a hazy orange-blond with a large white head. Has a typical belgian aroma of yeast and clove with a light banana. Flavor is spicy with clove, light touch of banana, mildly sweet bubblegum, small carbonation bite, citrus/orange and caramel. Overall great flavors and easy to drink. I’ll have to go out and buy some.
