Commercial Description:
Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that results in a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

12oz bottle. Poured cloudy and deep orange with a quickly dissipating white head. I caught oranges and yeast in the nose. Taste is a little unbalanced for me, with the normal belgian sweet/spice flavors subdued with too-punchy carbonation and a hint of sourness. I’ve had it on tap before and much preferred it then.

This ale poured a cloudy, light orange colour with a short lived, bright white head. To the nose there are scents of very ripe fruit, vinegar, bread and citrus. First taste has a thick mouthfeel with medium to low carbonation. Flavours of rich malts, ripe fruit and leather. Finish is slightly hoppy with a little bitter note at the end. Raisin flavour lingers.

12 oz. bottle, pours a beautiful golden with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet, citrus and yeast. Flavour follows suit - a well balanced Belgian ale, but lacking character.

Northcoast usually impresses me, but this was bland. Sweet, with little of the usual Belgium spice and funk. little aroma.
