Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma of biscuity malt, caramel, piney resinous notes, fruits, earthy notes, hint of herbs, soft hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. Pretty decent malty earthy APA, but nothing spectacular.

Bottle. Orange malt and herbal orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with large off white head. Mildly sweet orange malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Straight forward.

Rich aroma of malt and fruit. Already in the fragrance is no doubt this is a true American, it radiates namely real west coast pale ale with its fruity aroma hops blended malt. The foam is persistent and a little rough. Lovely rich flavor where the malt adds a delicate fruity sweetness which perfectly taken over by hops and bitter aftertaste. Perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness, long lasting and slightly spicy aftertaste. Lots of good American hops.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark orange to amber color, full sized off-white head that lasts for a long time. Aroma has faint hops and is quite malty. Taste malts, a bit dusty hoppy, decent hop bitter and softly bitter. Suitable body and carbonation. Decent APA.

Bright clear amber beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is dry and has a fine minerally crispness. Thin malts with a little toffee but not much sweetness. Mild marmalade hops. Sharpish pine. Light minerally finish. The basis of a well hopped Amber but it’s a little thin.

35.5cl bottle, served in Shaker. Pours amber with medium white frothy head. Aroma is earth, herbs, resin and hints of caramel. Taste is the same, both hops and malts are very well balanced. The long spicy finish seems rather short, but it is dry and there’s almost no sweetness left on the palate, which is ideal. Medium body, perfect carbonation. Very good job!

12oz bottle Rudat via Derer, bb10/2015... Elegant red copper pour. Alas this is one of those transatlantic ale imports from the West Coast that loses a lot in aroma in transition and cross-distribution to online shops: much has been lost and both condensed and thinned out into refined sugar crystal malts (cf. cans of Jai Alai that make it over), with a touch of berry shrub, wood, wet bark. Still packs a dry-elegant pine punch in taste over red copper malts: berry peel, dried citrus rinds and an assortment of woody pines join measured thin fruit caramels, towards again a dry bitter finish. (Chinook?)

A really nice red pale combo. Good orange red coloring. Scent is heavy with hops and malts. Taste has standard red favor and nice balance of hops, not over the edge. Tap
