COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

Sample on tap at Craft Beer Market (Vancouver). Pours clear orange with medium creamy beige head. Aroma: tropical fruits, pine, hops. Bitter taste, sweetened by hints of tropical fruits. Well blanced. Problem is the overwhelmingly malty finish that leaves an unpleasant orange peel aftertaste. Medium to full bodied. Good beer, almost a great one.

Keg at Leilainis on the beach, Kanapali, Maui 26/04/14. Hazed reddish amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, light perfume, caramel, hint of spice, pine notes, pommegranate. Taste comprises caramel, light tropical fruits, pine, blood orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with subtle hop bitterness. Ok hoppy red, drinkable enough drop. Surprised to find this classed as an APA, any other beer of this ilk I’ve had has been down as an amber!

Bottle from Mouton Rouge Canterbury and drunk at home. Cleaer pale amber lasting off white head. Sherbert hoppy aroma. Sherberty some grapefruit. Yes quite fresh and a likeable APA. Yes it’s a good APA. Hoppy sherbert, touch of crystal malt but not too much. Only a little bitterness. Good.

Nice complex ale. On tap. Smells of malts with undertone of hops. Taste is similar, malt/ bread forward, little sour in the middle and a touch of hops at the end for balance . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Couleur de cuivre avec une petite mousse beige. L’arôme du malt un peu sucré avec du houblon florale. Le goût est comme l’arôme avec le malt d’abord puis l’houblon.

Bottle at Big Bite. Sweet maple aroma with a bit of grassy hops. Taste is also honey-sweet (not overly so) with hoppy dry finish. Better than expected.
