COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

Hazy coppery orange colour with a good thick cream coloured head that left good lace down the side of the glass. The aroma was resinous and held a good noseful of herbal grassiness and amber malt. This was reflected in the flavour that carried a well-balanced bitterness as well as lengthy orchard fruit and steamed pudding flavours on the finish. Another one would be lovely. Another two would be terrific.

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a clear amber color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, older citrus fruit, and a hint of spice. Taste of sweet fruit, caramel malt, bitter citrus zest, and light spices.

Backlog. On tap at Green Lion Inn. One of my first APAs, dominated by caramel and citrus, some apricot and dried fruits.

Poured from a bottle, tall but rather short-lived head, nice Belgian lace down to the bottom of the glass. Sharp aroma and flavor of hops. An excellent example of a style I really don’t like. If I had read the label I might not have bought it.

small frothy offwhite head. fair lacing. fully diminishing. clear average amber body. aroma: caramel, grass, orange. if: moderate sweet light bitter. ff: moderate sweet bitter; average duration. palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic finish.
