COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

Almost the perfect blend of malt and hops. The malts give it a round mouthfeel then the hops give it a bitter clean finish. This is one my my favorite beers.

Red fruit nose. Rich malt, strawberry, candy, strong herbal hops, sharp dry finish. Expected a smoother brew, finish is a bit too dry covering the pleasant red fruitiness and maltiness.

Another pleasant surprise. Caramel nose, same in taste, well balanced with hops. Nothing complex, but I like that biscuity toffee play with hops. Sweetish with moderate bitterness in finish.

Draught at BrewDog Clapham Junction’s opening night; 13 August. Poured a clear, bright amber, with a dense off white head. Aroma of floral and grassy hops, with some ripe berries. Citrus hop flavours, with some caramel and chewy grain. Finish was hop resin, caramel and dried fruits.

Aroma maltado com notas de bala de doce de leite. Líquido vermelho forte com espuma densa e duradoura. Sabor levemente adocicado com sabor amadeirado. É uma red ale interessante.

330ml bottle, ALEhouse, Riga
Pours not crystal but sparklyng amber with beige, thick top leaving thick lasing, foam stays long. On nose it comes pleasant amber malty, intense light caramely with tiny touch of hops, perfumy a bit. Taste is medium sweet, light to minimal sour and medium bitter increasing more towards finish, aftertaste is pleasant hoppy, like herbal and pine mix. Flavor reminds american amber, too caramely and ambery for APA, but in any way this brew is nice, sipping sample. Medium+ body, syrupy texture, light to medium dry finish.

Transfer from BA review on 12-24-12- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a hazy copper color with a one finger white head that fades quite fast. Upon dissipation the head leaves only a very light level of lacing. Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of some caramel malt sweetness. This is mixed with a nice balancing aroma of a citrus and pine hop smell. Taste- The taste begins with a sweeter caramel and bready flavor upfront. These flavors are complimented by a pine hop flavor initially. Soon however there is an oncoming of some notes of a light fruit flavor as well as notes of a citrus hop. The citrus hop grows stronger as the taste advances to the end where it is joined by a light earthy hop flavor to leave a semi sweet and bitter flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is average or just below in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is quite average. The average carbonation is a good feel for both the hop and caramel flavors, while the average to just below average body did make it very easy drinking. Overall – A nice red ale with a good balance of hop and malt. A good drinking brew.
