yesyouam (351), Fairport, New York, USA Jun 12, 2008 North Coast Red Seal Ale is a copper ale with a nice light beige head. It has a clear, strong aroma of Cascade hops with a little malt to back it up. It is medium bodied and quite smooth. The taste is simple, well balanced and refreshing-- mostly pine and citrus. This tastes very Californian. Classic.
mikkopen (106), Oulu, Finland Sep 4, 2008 355 ml bottle. Hazy reddish orange colour, thick but quickly disappearing off-white head. Rich aroma of fruits and floral hops. Fruity, malty flavour and a long bitter hoppy finish. Medium-bodied and smooth. Very pleasant and refreshing. ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 4, 2008 Copper pour with a fluffy white head. Loads of tropical fruits on the nose. Medium bodied with a floral hop flavor TET (127), Finland Aug 30, 2008 Very beautiful red-brown beer with quite quicly to disappearing medium blond head. Aroma is extremely temptating and there are lot of fresh fruits. Flavour is balanced and not so fruitfull than aroma can promise. Flavour is strongly bitter but still there are enough of balancing sweetness and so the bitterness is not too dominating. Surprisingly quite oily palate. Red Seal Ale is sophisticate, fruitfull and strongly bitter beer which fruit-lovers cannot to be fascinated. mar (574), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 28, 2008 copper amber pour with a 2 finger thick cream head. nice floral hop scent. easy on the palate with a very smooth floral hop finish. a very good beer to have around for the heat. masto (67), Helsinki, Finland Aug 27, 2008 Smells great like all APAs. Clear reddish brown. Surprisingly Bitter-like in taste and the hops have both British and American qualities. Sort of a trans-atlantic hop cocktail. Pretty nice.
