Malt and hops are beautifully married in this full-bodied, copper-red Pale Ale. Red Seal Ale is generously hopped in the traditional manner for a long, spicy finish.

Sample as the third course of a North Coast beer dinner at Teller’s. Pours a reddish amber with some cloudiness and a small, creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, pine, grapefruit citrus, tea, caramel malts, and floral notes. The flavor also has nice notes of pine, hops, grapefruit, and tea, with a nice malty backbone and caramel sweetness. Very well balanced, but almost too much so, as individual notes are hard to pull out. Comes across as just a nice, straightforward, drinkable, refreshing APA. Medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Malty, hoppy mouthfeel.

I have yet to taste this beer in different settings but I the settings I’ve tried so far makes me think that Red Seal is a good anytime-anywhere beer. The aroma could be better, I don’t find beer with spicy and peppery aroma especially good. The taste and "aftertaste" is almost perfect. Good amount of bitterness and nice balanced taste of alcohol.

4 oz draft sample at RFD DC. Cloudy copper with frothy white head. Malt and citrus hops in excellent balance.

Bottled. An amber beer with a small white head. Aroma is very malty with some citrusy hops. Taste is malty and quite hoppy, caramel notes. Very solid malt profile. Very pleasant

Dark Red, Quickly Dissipating Head, Lots Of Lacing. Smell reminds me of Whiskey Barrel Aged Ale - Whiskey. Tastes the same, plus hoppy bitter. While i like hops, I’m no fan of whiskey/alcohol aftertaste, so it was interesting to try it and taste it, it was not really pleasant.

Big foamy head. Brown beer with carbonation bubbles. American style hops in aroma. Buttery mouth feel with big grape fruity hops. Nice! Not a multi dimensional beer but very good.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, tropsika frukter. Kryddigt och fruktigt med en trevlig beska med aromer av citronskal och grapefrukt.

Bought at Systemet. Beautiful amber colour with a firm head. Quite nice hops for a pale ale. Enjoyable and easily drunk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Large white head, not lasting though. Caramel and straw aromas. Toasty malty and floral flavors. Nice hoppy and dry finish.

Copper caramel orange in color... Aroma of light malt and citrus hops... Flavor is caramel malts with a hint of spice, nicely balanced with a crisp citrus hop backbone... Not an amber guy but this was very solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
