2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not what I expected from a Pilsener. The would-be nice aroma of fruits, with mango, grapes and grapefruit, is protected by a shell of skunkiness. Not grassy as I’d expect a pilsener to be. The fruity flavours get too blended in the taste and it gets a relatively low score perhaps because of my disappointment.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
pours hazy golden with a nice white cap, some retention and lacing. pale slightly grainy cereals, faint citrus and herbal notes, bit of pepper, cheese and cardboard. bright to average carbonation, light body - tad weak, very short herbal, dry and lightly citrusy finish. lame interpretation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fruity, herbal character; Light in aroma, more prominent flavor. Light sweet, grainy malt flavor, and a biscuit-y flavor in the aftertaste.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear, golden, slightly amber (Munich malt) color with super-charged carbonation issuing from the bottom. Bready, hay nose, creamy mouthfeel, crisp, carbonated finish. It finishes with a little bit of a ballpark, skunky taste. Okay pilsner. Not one of NCB’s better efforts.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. The pour is pale yellow with a short lived white head. It has good clarity. Aroma of caramel and sweetness which I found a tad unusual. The body is light and smooth. The taste has a more sweeter than grainy flavor considering it is a pilsener. Not too bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice medium bodied pilsner. This beer has a nice mouthfeel and creamy like finish. Nice subtly finish that is simple but not empty. Different than the saaz hop type pilsners, a little less bite and a little smoother.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Enjoyed a pint of this beer in a tall pilsner glass in Old Salem, NC. The beer had a medium, clear gold color, with a good-sized foamy white head that had average retention, good cling, and average lacing. Its aroma featured a mixture of citrus and pine hops, along with a bit of straw and malt. The taste was somewhat bitter, featuring light citrus and straw notes, and had a very light sweet malt component too. The body was average-to-thin in thickness, and somewhat bubbly and foamy, with low-to-average carbonation and a dryish character.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is a pretty good German Pilsner, brewed to the traditional styles. It has a very slight hop finish (I would prefer more) and it is slightly sweet at first, turning dry. I would not pick up this beer, but at the brewery, it is a good option for that wine drinker in the group.
