3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle into a footed pilsner glass.
A: Pours a straw color that isn’t completely opaque. The head features a nice layering of foam, about three fingers high in total. Texture-wise, it’s bubbly and rocky, typical of the style.
S: There are a decent amount of grassy hops here, along with a touch of fruity esters. Nothing remarkable here, yet perfectly acceptable given the style in mind.
T: The first thing I notice on the palate are some hints of fruity esters. Afterwards, it shifts to a mildly hoppy finish. The hops here are grassy, earthy, lemony, and even a bit peppery. There’s a really enjoyable balance to this one, all told.
M: Light on the palate, with sweeping carbonation. I’d reckon it could be a touch drier; then again, I like my pilsners bone-dry. Easy to drink as it should be.
O: Solid. There are few other pilsners I’d go for over this one, but I’d pick this over many others, too.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy gold. Nose of wet lager malts and mild hops. Flavor is biscuity graham crackers with lager malt. A bit sweet with only mild hop bitterness. Not an overly good representation of the style.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Not really impressed. The hops seem a bit off and the flavors are odd. Too dry for its own good.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. My 200th pilsner/pilsener. Pours clear gold colour with a lasting off white head. Some noble hop aroma. Very tasty very clean pils. Even though imported from America it tastes nice and fresh. Just a very tasty lager and beer. Would happily sink pints of this. Tasty. Nice crisp bitter finish. Drunk whilst watching England dispatch India in the 5th Test at The Oval. Good.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Subtle aroma, hint of fruit. Golden color with bright white head and decent lacing for a pilsner. This beer is refreshing and delicious, it has more flavor than any other pilsner I have ever had. This sets the bar for what a pilsner should and can be. Great beer!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh)
Pours a clear amber with white head. Mild aroma. As another review stated - meh...it's a pilsner.
A good pilsner. But there's not much exciting about it. Probably would be pretty decent sitting around a pool on a hot day.
