COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the delicate engravings popularized by 19th century seafarers, Scrimshaw is a fresh tasting Pilsner brewed in the finest European tradition from Munich and Klages malts, Hallertauer and Tettnang hops. Scrimshaw has a subtle hop character, a crisp, clean palate, and a dry finish.

Served in a pint glass. Straw colored with half finger of head. Normal pilsener stuff. Had a honey smell to it and some dry grain. Spicy taste, wet bitterness and clean. Crisp and light body with moderate carbonation. A great pils that had a bigger body and flavor than most other pils.

Clean, crisp and highly refreshing. Pleasant brew for those hot summer days. A bit watery on the finish.

On tap at a restaurant. Very clean crisp dry prototypical German style pilsner. Nice slightly sudsy mouthful and soft touch of hops in the finish.

12oz bottle pours a clear golden with a large white head. Aroma of stale bready malt, pils yeast, and some grassy hop spice. Taste similar to aroma minus any hops.

Clean finish, and a nice, resiny taste. Not the best Pilsner I’ve had, but a good complement to a full meal. I could’ve used more of an aftertaste, but it got the job done. Recommended, if not heartily.

Pours yellow golden from bottle, decent white head. Minimal malty aroma. Taste is sweet on front end, light malt complexity, negligible hoppy bitterness. Light body with medium carbonation. Overall refreshing but not hoppy enough for a Pilsner. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is honey, sweet 2 row malts, and light tobacco. Taste is light sweet malts, clove, lemon grass and hay. Slight bitter finish. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains poorly.
