Commercial Description:
Named for the delicate engravings popularized by 19th century seafarers, Scrimshaw is a fresh tasting Pilsner brewed in the finest European tradition from Munich and Klages malts, Hallertauer and Tettnang hops. Scrimshaw has a subtle hop character, a crisp, clean palate, and a dry finish.

12 oz bottle pours straw golden with a one finger white head. Aroma is sweet bready malt. Flavor is malt and little else. Rather bland and boring. Easy to drink.

Pours a murky yellow with a white head. Looks like any typical macro. Aroma is malts and Cheerios. Very watery taste, without any semblance of flavor. Mild hop taste, with nothing amazing to speak of. It’s like any cheap pilsner, but less offensive and easy to drink.

12oz bottle. Gold with a fluffy white head. grass, citrus, spice, and bread in the aroma. Relatively fat malty body, with a spicy hop balance. Much more flavor than I expected, but could have been a little leaner. Almost tastes like a blond ale, rather than a lager.

Bottle... Poured golden with a thick white head. Aroma was a little musty with some sweet malt grains. Tasted of refreshing hops with citrus/lemon and a little malt to balance. One of the better pilsner lagers I have had.

An exceptional pils. On draft, taps a bright golden with a really decent small bead white head that is full at first, but eventually only rings the glass and covers the surface. Aroma is sweet malt and some hop flower. Taste is really clean and crisp, but not too nbitter. Sweet pale malts dominate. an excellent summer thirstquencher very true to the style.
