COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the delicate engravings popularized by 19th century seafarers, Scrimshaw is a fresh tasting Pilsner brewed in the finest European tradition from Munich and Klages malts, Hallertauer and Tettnang hops. Scrimshaw has a subtle hop character, a crisp, clean palate, and a dry finish.

Light straw color with a medium white head. Aroma is grassy, lightly floral, a touch spicy. The flavor is light - mild and well-balanced. Creamy mouthfeel, lightly fruity - almost apricots - with a dry but not crisp finish. Very enjoyable.

Draft pour to a schooner at Elliott bay pizza. Pours a clear golden color with a ton of fizz head and lace. Very high carb here. Light body, grain heavy flavor. High carb burn late. Odd beer for me. Too much carb, not enough flavor. There is likely a time and place for this beer, and I missed out on both. Will try again later.

12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy straw with huge white head. Aroma was malted, citrus and grains. Taste was excellent, very crisp. Could have more of this, very good.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Clear golden color with a slight white head. Slightly herbal hop nose. Ok taste. Boring pilsener.

Clear golden pour. Normal head volume, outstanding retention and lacing. Light nose of noble hops over biscuit with a hint of lemon. Light body that has a texture of water. Perfect carbonation with a burst of middle effervescence and rollicking finely bubbled prickly finish. The flavor profile is quite good, but lacks the intensity and complexity to be outstanding. It begins pretty much as it ends. A light hop flavor over a light biscuit and mild bitterness. The finish is clean, dry and crisp.

Bottle pour. This was okay. Aroma is pure Pilsener but I thought the taste was a little off. Okay.

Rating #1189 - 18.07.2014 - On tap @revolutionyeg. Clear yellow colour, nice white foam, medium retention. Aroma is pleasant, generously hopped. Mouthfeel is bubbly and crisp, medium carbonation. Taste is hint of sweet malt, dries out in the fairly smooth finish with a nice hoppy presence. Delicious.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2015 From a 12oz bottle into a Mad Elf tulip glass. Pours gold with head and lace. Aroma of grains, light pepper, malts, hay. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of grains, wheat, amber malts, light herbs, minerals, slight tropical fruit rind sweetness. Overall flavorful, refreshing, zesty.
