3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a gorgeous clear gold with a small head. Aroma is lovely with apple, oak and alcohol. Medium in body with minimal carbonation. Flavor is sweet and at first has a strong honey component. Once the initial sweetness subsides, there are many complex flavors working here. Oak, apple, booze, and a tartness are all present. Very interesting brew here.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml Bottle: Aroma of malt, slight marzipan, light oak, light almonds, slight pepper, and slight clove. Poured yellow/gold/slight amber in color with a small, white head as a film on top of the beer and around the edges. Clear. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is medium sweet. Taste of pale malt, alcohol, slight butter, light apple, slight coconut, and some strange and unidentifiable flavors. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Medium to heavily sweet, malt, butter, apple, coconut, wood finish. 12.5%ABV is noticeable in the flavor.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours crystal clear golden amber with a big pillowy white head that shows excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma is very sweet with lots of candi sugar and all kinds of overripe fruits like pears and apricots. Tons of booze, especially tequila, and some spiciness from the wood.
Taste is hot up front - definitely no hiding the alcohol in this one. That initial boozy spiciness gives way to the sugary fruit notes with some bananas and fruity esters.
The mouthfeel is full bodied, really sticky and crazy boozy.
This is a decent beer but pretty extreme on the both the sweetness and alcohol scale. Little bit of this goes a long way...

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a two finger, white head that fades quickly and leaving no lace. Clear light amber color. Good carbonation, medium bodied. Fruity yeast nose. Flavor is sweet, spicy fruit and yeast, high ABV is hidden, smooth finish. Pricey, but worth trying at $14.20 for a caged & corked 500ml bottle from Tullyís Beer and Wine Wells, Me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Crunchyís, East Lansing. Mostly clear golden body, thin to medium off-white head. Nose of alcohol, light fruits, and sugars, with light tannic oak. Prickly, boozy, sweet body with tart, honey-like sugars, light fruit, hints of bubblegum, and alcohol. Tangy and intense, a somewhat fleeting pleasure.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Fort Worth labeled as Grand Cru. Nice pour with a big foamy white head. Fairly benign aroma overall. Ho-hum flavor. Kinda sweet but nothing big. Crazy enough thereís no hint of the 12+ ABV. Aroma improves to wine-like notes as it warms but the flavor turns south with raw alcohol...damned if you do...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber body on this one with an average but lasting white head. Aromas of pear, mango, and tart apple skin. Can detect slight oak. Agave is less pronounced. One of the best masked ABVís for this strength of beer. Very smooth palate. Good stuff here.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Wow, didnít even know this was the NC 20th A. Now Iím even more excited. Bottle from Craft Ale. Pours chill hazy bright canary golden with 2-finger frothy white head. Nose is tart apricotty fruit; very acidic and lactic with some yeasty funk, citrus, and hops. Not the best nose, frankly. Tastes very floral, cloyingly sweet, very fruity. Gets drier as it warms, and maintains an apricotty peachy flavor, plus a lot of funky floral citrus notes. Got some late heat and oak. As it warms, it gets very orange/pineapple juicy, very floral, and very tart. This one is odd, to say the least.

Tallahassee, Fl - Fermentation Lounge - 500 ml bottle (thanks for sharing Trevor!). Bright dark gold pour, snow white head, hint of lacing. Sweet aroma - hints of honey and agave. Flavor is nectar-like with some bourbon back end notes. Pick up some coconut and pineapple as well. Sweetness from the agave permeates throughout - very enjoyable. Thick sticky mouthfeel.
