Bottle, this ale had a clear gold-red (orange) pour and made a one finger white head that receded to a island of bubbles (about the size of a quarter) and small ring, the bubbles had faint color to them, the glass had a center medium flow of bubbles with a few single bubbles here and there, and at the edges, it left some spots of lacing on the sides of the glass that eventually rolled off, there was no sediment in the bottle, this ale had aromas of honey and dew like sweetness, floral scents and sweetness, faint malt, grass and plant sap in the background, the bourbon was very light on the nose and hardly noticeable, the aroma does resemble glue/solvent/chemical a bit (I noticed this right upon opening), not off putting but it was there and I do not like Agave syrup for this same reason, when I smell Agave, glue comes to mind, the bourbon sweetness grew as the ale warmed, this drink had flavors of agave and bourbon liquor sweetness, faint caramel, fruit that is neither tropical or citrus, vanilla in the background, a little toasted malt, I noticed wood as this beer warmed, the finish had a little pepper spice and bourbon liquor bitterness with a little sweetness following, the mouth feel was medium that coated the palate, there was a little creamy feel on the tongue, and it had average carbonation, a light nose that grew a bit as the beer warmed, a nice sipper, it was a little interesting having the agave touch to it.

"This one was unique right from the get go. Probably the lightest and fizziest (good head) barrled beer Iíve had. Little hint of any alcohol on the nose til it reached close to room temp. Aroma of fruit coconut and vanilla. Weird combo, but it works. In the flavor, the alcohol is a bit more prevalent, but subdued for such a strong beer. Agave, belgian spicy yeastiness, apple-like fruit notes, and bourbon (obvious without being overbearing - i think itís a 2/3 blend). Smooth finish. Wanted more at the end."

16.9 oz. bottle shared 5 ways and labeled as Grand Cru with a an ABV of 12.9 %. Pale yellow color light thin head in the snifter. Aroma is honey, agave, mild oak and a weak pear or apple note.

The flavor is nice and pretty much identical to the aroma. A larger dose of sugar and yeast hints in the flavor. The ABV is covered nicely but mostly from the sweet, sugary flavors. Overall this is a nice drink and the flavor is pretty interesting.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy bourbon wood and fruit with an alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Bottle at Craigís. Massive gusher! Pours hazy gold, with thin white a head. Aromas of marzipan, light sugar. Taste is sweet, something green, must be the agave. Odd.

500 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a thin off white film. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, the agave nectar is noticeable, woody, some fruity notes, even a touch herbal, has some bite to the finish, I donít know if this would get better with age.

Never thought Iíd ever see this one. Bottle given to me for a job well done of chopping wood for a local. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance had a cloudy gold with a one finger white head that dissipated within seconds (damn, that was quick). Lacing was somewhat there but kinda stringy and all over the place. The smell had some honey, Belgian yeastiness, a light tropical citrus and then a light hint of vanilla. No bourbon? Uh..okay, no worries, I guess, I was expecting it but it never showed up. The taste was really sweet through the honey with a sweet/bready yeastiness balancing it in with some light pear. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent expected carbonation that was there but nothing overbearing. Overall, decent Belgian Strong ale I think I could have again.

Bottled. Pours deep golden with an average off-white head. Aroma of fruits, caramel, wood and agave. Sweet flavor that ends up dry with alcohol. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. An excellent brew.

Bottle from Gator Bev. Pours cloudy gold with a one finger white head. Aroma of honey, Belgian yeastyness, I assume agave nectar, hint of vanilla. Not much bourbon here. Flavor is big sweet honey up front (agave nectar?), some yeasty esters, banana, pear, light spice, vanilla, and finishing with a big burn of bourbon booze. Very sweet. Medium plus bodied with medium carbonation. Not what I was expecting here. Itís no terrible, but donít think I can get through the whole bottle alone. Like an insanely boozy saison.
