11/18/15. 12oz can in Destin, probably from Beach’s. Black pour with a small tan head. Ashy aroma, loads of sweetness, toffee, molasses, caramel. Ashy roasted malt flavor, caramel, toffee, doughy. Not bad.

Poured into a pint glass. 4.0 A: Black color. Three fingers of frothy light brown head. Retention is very good and glass covering lacing is left. 3.25 S: Load of tangy molasses in this. Caramel and roastiness next. NondeScript dark fruitiness. 3.25 T: Taste is like the nose. Overload of molasses. Plenty of caramel too. Moderate roastiness with a touch of char. Perhaps a touch of raisin fruitiness. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Light creaminess and smooth. 3.0 D: It’s pretty average. Recommended for those that love molasses in there stouts. ★ 583 characters DavoleBomb, Apr 01, 2015

A solid overall sweet stout. Has some dryness and bitter hops, as classified as a West-Coast stout. Dark jet black creamy appearance with a mocha head. Rich chocolate, coffee, maybe light licorice in the flavor. Not top-tier, but nice to try some newly distributed beer from PA.

PorterPounder (7316) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 6, 2015
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz can. Deep dark brown leading to black pour with an initial mocha colored head that fades away quickly. Molasses and licorice in the aroma, a touch of chocolate. Full-bodied flavor with some strong chocolate accents, some molasses, a bit of brown sugar, some day old coffee. Sticky, thick, rich mouthfeel. Color me impressed.
