This poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of grassy and floral hops, roasted malt, and light chocolate. Flavor was similar, approaching black IPaa. Decent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can courtesy of agl108. Date on the bottom: 07/31/14. Pours a deep mahogany with a smallish dark khaki head. Cocoa, roasted coffee, caramel maltiness, a touch of molasses, and a light hoppy quality feature in the aroma. Fairly thin to medium-bodied on the way down. Kinda sweet upfront in the taste with a little caramel and cocoa. A little bitter at the end with some roasted coffee notes. Pretty average.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, licorice, a touch of soy sauce. Dark chocolate brown color, opaque. Chocolate, caramel maltiness; soft English hops with a balancing amount of bitterness, hints of licorice and roasted malt in the finish. Medium-bodied; soft, fuzzy mouthfeel. Calm on the palate. Good stout overall. I like it a lot; this is an excellent regular stout.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Can from Brewery
APPEARANCE – super black with light brown foamy head. Good lacing, but head doesn’t have much staying power.
NOSE - very light roasty malts. Considering color & head, surprisingly little scent.
FLAVOR - deep, complex stout with slightly bitter undertones. Not quite coffee flavor, but leaning in that direction.
NOTES - By far the best beer I’ve had from North Country. Well Done.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can. Pours a clear dark brown body under a large frothy dark brown head. The nose is burnt and roasty malt with some espresso, moderate hoppiness. The flavor is fairly dry up front with some nice coffee and roasted malt. A fairly hefty hop bite on the finish. Lighter bodied with a thinnish texture and minimal soft carbonation. Not the most exciting Stout, but it’s pretty solid.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can from unknown via trade, forgetting who from. Pours an opaque black-brown, decent amount of tan head. Warm milk chocolate nose, sweet, not really any roasted notes. Body lively and a bit roasty, finish well-balanced. I dig this.
