On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown / black color with a light tan thick head. Very nice lacing. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and molasses. Sweet coffee, a hint of bitter chocolate, and notes of hazelnut and vanilla. Not much bitterness at all and lacks some body. Could use a little bit more carbonation. There is a touch of bitterness in the finish, but leaves more of a sweet taste on the palate.

Quite an experience. Big black pour. Has a head like chocolate mousse. Aroma is mild but roasty. Flavor is dark and roasty also. Barely any carbonation. Mild coffe and extinguished campfire charcoal taste. Quite bitter on the finish, but not as bitter as most imp stouts. I would say this is more like a dry stout. A little more bitter on the finish than this lager lover can appreciate.

From draught sampler. Nice milky chocolate aroma, like fresh milk and cocoa powder. Dry roasted malts, with bit of smokiness; Graham crackers and coffee. Oily dark brown-black body with thin tan creamy head. Heavy oily body with mild carbonation. Big sweet toasted malts, smoky with coffee and molasses. Nice roastiness and good finishing bitterness. Sweet nutty after with bit of cocoa. A nice sweet stout and the best sample of the day.
