Where and how: on tap at brewpub
Aroma mild, muted nose. Malty with hint of caramel. Touch of alcohol.
Appearance :
Top: medium off white top.
Base: murky dark hazy look.
Palate : full bodied, soft with mild carbonation.
Taste: Good malt base with decent notes of west coast feel. Very straight forward. Mild alcohol at finish. Semi dry end.
Other notes as other brews, nice straight, refreshing.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy red amber color with a slight white head. Aroma is slight peach/apricot. Slight raisin. Taste is sweet, honey-like. Almost like a cherry jolly rancher. Thick and syrupy.

redpooba (401) - New York, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Bright poppy red with a white head. Very well balanced and rounded. Malts are hot and just the right amount of hops for balance. This would be great aged a bit.

JStax (3244) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Poured on draft at the source as Imperial Amber. Pours a lighter amber with a white head of foam and good retention. Aroma is lemony, with other citrus aspects coming through to a lesser extent and a fruity sweetness as well. Taste is bitter initially, but gives way to a nice fruity profile in the finish.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 1/5   OVERALL 8/20
cheap (4208) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2012
Very little if any aroma, just simple friendly olfactory. Looks a little like a lslightly hazy iced tea. First taste is as expected; a slight alky wallop. Medicinal flavors prevail. Barely any co2 and if there is any its covered by the alky forfront. Bitter medicinal back of throat feeling. Some slight burn on the way down and when it hits bottom. For a 9% however, it is well controlled. Not over the top like so many other beers in this alky range, has a few manners.
