Nate (2166), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 3, 2008 On cask at brewpub. Served via handpump at cellar temp. Mild cherry wood and herbal hops. Bit of honey sweetness, and biscuit. Dark amber honey color, mild haze, with creamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with smooth carbonation, almost flat. Starts with nice light sweet maltiness, cherry wood and biscuit. Mild nutty bitterness in the finish, with a bit of astringency. Nice session. cheapdark (1507), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2007 Darker than your ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. A little more on the brown side, but not much. Creamy off white head. Slight fruity aroma but relatively undetectable. Earthy initial flavors and very friendly. Hay in this flavor complexion. No detectable bitterness. Friendly and mild, very enjoyable. Well mannered finish.
