Nate (2255), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 11, 2005 Buckwheat honey and flowers, malty nose with smooth fruitiness and mild hops aroma. Dark amber maple syrup clear with thin head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with honey maple sweetness, light acidity and mild hops. Bit of smoky character to it, too. Malty throughout with nice sweet-hop balance. After is mild sweet and nutty. Not bitter at all. A decent Scottish ale.
