1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 cheap (3377) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 11, 2007
Yes this is IPA, probably more like Impy IPA. Smells like one, looks like one, probably is one. This is one of the strongest beers on tap here today. Bitter and oppresive, like any good IIPA. The taste of this is like many impy IPA I’ve had. Barely any carbonation. Lets all go chew grapefruit rinds that are still green. Opppressive and over the top. Finish is long, bitter and lasting. IPA lovers, this is a must try for you. Get a growler thru trade. I am not an IPA lover.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2007 Pours a nice copper orange, with nice head. Nice hoppy mixture of grapefruit and pine. Was really surprised as this is probably the best IPA I have tried at Western PA brewpub.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2007 Sampled from a growler. Nice aroma of a mix between floral and citrus hops. Cloudy light orange color with a large, quickly deminishing head. Light bitter taste. Slightly watery.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bgburdman9 (849) - Kettering, Ohio, USA - MAR 24, 2007
At first aroma this seemed to be a little weak on the hops but the flavor didnt disapoint. Aroma was of light citrusy. The flavor was real nice and had a lot of citrusiness to it and quite a bit of bitterness. Pretty tasty and very easy to drink.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Homebrewerguy (300) - Oil City, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2005
This is a fine example of the style. The flavor is sweetish malt and the aroma of hops is quite evident but the beer is nicely balanced to make more than one a pleasure.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nate (3327) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 11, 2005
Decent hoppy nose. Some resin, citrus oily quality. Orange rind and honey. Hazy golden amber with thin pale head. Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. Starts with nice sweetness, fruity with orange blossom and honey. Good citrus-hop oil taste. Nice acidity and decent level of bitterness throughout. Fine balance of hop-malt character. Finishes fruity with resiny bitterness. After is bitter and a bit chalky.
