Poured on draft at the source. Pours a hazy copper with a white head of foam. Aroma is citrusy and grassy. Smells nice and tastes just as good. Fruity and bitter. Probably one of the better beers sampled this day.

Hand bottle. Rating #21. Hazy orange/yellow pour with a thin white head. Muted pine aroma and a touch of maltiness. Flavor is pretty mild, sappy pine and a pretty nice clean finish that leaves a little bitterness on the tongue. (1574)
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 LetsGoState (523) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2010
I.P.A. is not my style of beer, but this one is better than average. Pretty strong bitterness in the finish.

Pours a cloudy dark orange color. Big earthy hop nose. Flavor is nice and hoppy up front then turns somewhat fruity. Very drinkable IPA.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Pawola22 (3108) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 24, 2010
On tap at North Country. Pours a cloudy, orange-golden colored body with a finger-width, frothy and creamy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is those sugar coated, chewable candy tangerines, oranges, and grapefruits. A bit flowery with a touch of English grass and a light amount of sweet caramel malts. Flavor is solid. A nice grapefruity, orange hop with a light grass. Not as sugary as the aroma which is nice. A thin, but balancing caramel joins the fairly juicy citrus before this slowly dries with a moderate bitterness and leaves a medium length aftertaste. Light bodied and smooth with a thin carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA. Nothing crazy, but well balanced and tasty. Probably the best beer they offer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JaBier (3756) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 22, 2009
Sample at the brewpub. Pours clear orange/copper with a thin white head. Citrusy aroma with lots of "c" hops and some malt. Grapefruit flavor that is bitter through and through. Fairly decent IPA, and easily the best beer they had this day.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 20, 2010 Enjoyed via draft at the brewpub. This is far and away the best offering from North Country, which is a measured statement; given the fact that most of the selections are mediocre. Floral English hops come across in the nose, along with a bit of malt (perhaps Maris Otter?). The palate is a nice balance of bitterness and malt sweetness, with a tendency to favor the latter. The finish is dry satisfying.
