taffurs888 (91), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2008 Very fruit and thick, smell of apricots and berries. Alcohol is very prevalent and is not well hidden. Needs to be served in a goblet over a twelve oz glass. mtoast (279), City of Rust, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 10, 2008 Poured from growler courtesy of cheapdark at Pittsburgh gathering on 1/27/08. Deep yellow color, no head. Sweet and almost wort like aroma, smells like it needs more yeast? Flavor is overly sweet, again with the unfinished wort. Dunno, maybe some stronger yeast is in order here? Just tastes unfinished. Nate (2166), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 30, 2008 Sampled at the RBPG; growler courtesy of cheapdark. Aroma is yeasty with some broth, vanilla pudding, and what can best be described as cooked creamed corn. Alcohol vapor. Clear with a mild hazy golden hue and no head. Medium-heavy body with low carbonation. Predominant taste is creamed corn with alcohol and vanilla. Mild yeastiness. Sweet cloying finish. Overall, it’s still tasty, but the creamed corn flavor really detracts from this one. Linus_Stick (1459), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 28, 2008 Wow. This beer did cause my taste buds a nightmare. Aroma was weak. Light fruit is traceable but faint. Pour was a flat medium gold with no head. Taste was strong and way too alcoholic. Apple, pear and peach with a heavy alcohol burn. This beer grabs you by the throat and makes you acknowledge it is over 10%. If you want to get drunk and drink an extremely tasty beer in the process get this. zebracakes (958), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 28, 2008 Growler sampled at the Ratebeer meet-up 01.27.08 at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse.
