Linus_Stick (1481), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2008 On tap at Bocktown. This was a nice Irish ale. Nice and smooth with high drinkability. Aroma was light caramell malt. Pour was nice deep amber with a nice one finger white head. Taste was all caramel malt with a nice earthiness to it and just a mild hop bitterness on the back of the tongue. Decent carbonation and an almost roasted malt aftertaste. Very nice for this style. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 07/23/2007

MrBunn (801), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 14, 2007 Draught. Brown body with a slightly reddish hue. Smells of sweet caramel malts and tastes about the same. Minimal head. Flavor is about what you would expect. Kinda sweet malt presence with a bitter finish. Come to think of it, this is almost more like an ESB than an amber... hmm... Anyhow, mouthfeel is a little silky and creamy. cheapdark (1526), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2007 Such a noble cause! Drink beer and support your local fire department. Reminds me of a few poker runs I’ve been on with my Harley. Yes there is a little reddish orange in the color but it is not truly ruby red as described. More like the color of a good brown ale. Hardly any head on this one. Has a good beery aroma and it is a little sweet smellin. Fine clean flavor of refined ale on the initial sip. Quite a treat, friendly and easy. I like this stuff. Has just enough impact to let you know you are enjoying a decent beer. Reminds me of Corsendonk in a special way. Corsy tactfully hides the alky content welll but this does not. A little bit of bitterness builds on the back of the palate with each taste. and lasts for a while on the finish. Interesting, glad I had the chance to taste this. Nate (2195), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 11, 2005 Mild fruity hoppy aroma with honey and wheat overtones. Medium dark amber clear with thin head. Medium-light body with airy effervescence. Starts with light malty sweetness and soy acidity. Neutral fruitiness with a bit of carbonic acidity. Mild hoppy bitterness toward the finish with a fruity-creamy taste. After is mild and nutty.
