Commercial Description:
Our brewmaster’s version of old ale, A.K.A. strong ale. The malty characteristics mask the alcohol flavor. Alcohol content is 8.4%, so we serve it in 12 oz. glasses only.

Draft. Body is brownish with little head. Aromas are sweet caramel malt and a touch of pine. Flavor as the above with a lovely little bit of alcohol warmth. Could maybe have a little more malt stickiness, but nice enough as is.

Draft sample at pub. Pours dark amber with foamy, white head. Good lacing. Nose is malty and caramel. Lots of creamy malt, caramel, mild roast, chocolate. Pretty well hopped. Nice alcohol flavor with the warmth lingering well into the after.

Sampled out of a growler. Light yeast aroma with hints of malt. Dark orange color with a small white-tan head. Has a cascading effect when poured. Sweet malty start with a mild finish.

Had this on cask at north country and I was a little dissapointed. I wish I would have tried it on tap. Aroma was malty but fairly weak. Flavor was really creamy and smooth and very malty also with not really any of the 8.4% noticable at all. This is worth a shot but I personally think it would be better on draft.
