COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The London Gentleman: English Special Bitter. The name says bitter but this is far from what those old boring English people considered bitter. We are American and by our standards, this one is perfectly balanced. Not hoppy, not sweet. Just... well... beer? A crowd pleaser, sure, but a beer drinker’s delight.

Draft to taster. Looks decent; light for the style though. A transparent golden orange with white head. Smells of hops and pale malt. Tastes like it smells with average mouthfeel. No bad, but forgettable.

Taster on tap at Brothers Drake. Mostly clear orange golden color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Good, caramel malty bready malt. Lightly toasty. Awesome smooth crisp kind of creamy lighter carbonation. Tastes like there may be some nitro pushing this out, even. More dry finsih. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Good ESB.

Tap sample at NHB. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate roasted malt and bitter aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Dogbrick (7585) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 18, 2013
Sample at the tap room. The beer is a clear orange-amber color with a medium creamy off-white head that diminishes slowly to a wispy film. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy malt, toffee and hops. The finish is malty up front with a mild hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
