Originally highly hopped in England to deliver beer overseas to British expatriates in India, the beer retains it’s floral hop qualities with modern brewing technology. The hops used here provide a fun blend of citrus and bubblegum. While hops are at the forefront, it is a nicely balanced I.P.A.

On tap at the brewpub. This IPA is a cloudy orange amber brew with a thin head of tiny bubbles. Nose is floral and citrus hops. Taste is mildly citrus with some chewy malt. Body is lightly effervescent.

Draft sampler at North High on March 12, 2015. Listed as "North High India Pale Ale" with 6.8 ABV on the brewpub’s menu on my visit and on their website but it’s likely the same beer. Dark amber/copper hue, not much aroma but it could have been my stuffy nose, somewhat creamy texture, sufficiently firm bittersweet flavor, gets better as the glass warms. Quite decent brew.

Classic US brewpub IPA. Rich depth of piny, resinous NW hops. Pretty solid offering, no shortage of hops. Better than average. Good beer.

Taster on tap at the brewery. Half hazy darker orange color. Some fine particles in the body. Thin ring of white head. Zesty rindy citrus aroma up front. Toasty malt. Moderate to bigger bitter. Minimal sweet. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp. lighter carbonation. OK kind of malty toasty IPA. More bitter than hop aroma.

Draft at NHB. Poured a clear copper color with an average creamy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate sour citrus balanced aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met.

Draft at brewery. Orange golden pour. Medium bodied. Not overly flavorful IPA, balanced but milder hop bite. Pretty tame IPA

Sample at the tap room. Pours a clear amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hops flavor, as well as grapefruit and malt. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
