COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid American wheat, with a classic nose that transitions to a faint cherry aroma complimenting its rich amber gold hue. As this well-balanced and deceptively light-bodied wheat beer travels across the tongue, the willamette and perle hops hint at bitterness, followed by a crisp, clean wheat flavor that cuts to a subtle tart cherry finish. Asked to describe the flavor of Archangel, the most accurate response is: "it tastes like more.”

On sale at Anderson’s market. Love the bottle shape. Pretty rosy copper color with a creamy head that leaves decent lacing. Floral, wheaty scent. Couldn’t really taste the cherry. A little bland too.

Bottle. Pours a mildly cloudy off yellow. Small white head. Didn’t get much aroma. Taste is typical wheat, with a touch of bitterness that is probably the cherry, but not really identifiable. Not terrible, but not one of the better wheat’s that I’ve had.

Picked a bottle up while on vacation in northern Michigan. A very enjoyable wheat. There is a very slight hint of cherry. I was expecting more, hence a little disappointment. Still, pretty good.

8/08/2011: North Peak Archangel Summer Wheat (made with Michigan cherry juice)... Aroma: Cherry almond; toasty wheat malt; slightly floral. Appearance: Coppery gold color with a frothy off-white head; there is a slight chill haze to the complextion; bubbly crown remains. Flavor: Yeasty apple with some cherry tartness; musty wheat malt; cherry is definitely there, but is nicely reserved and therefore doesn’t dominate. Palate: Medium-light to medium body; lightly bubbly. Overall: Well-balanced and refreshing; this beer actually comes across tasting like a wheat beer with some cherry flavor, not like an cherry cough-syrup bomb like the Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat).

11.5 fl. oz. bottle (MAY 1211) from The Andersons General Store in Toledo, Ohio. Rating #53 for this beer.

bottle. Strange coppery color with small head. Wheat ale with a bit of a strange flavor that I guess is the cherries. I certainly wouldn’t have guessed it to be cherries. Not bad, but not really my thing.

Poured from 12oz bottle at home. Orange and cloudy pour. White bubbly head. Fruity aroma. Taste of banana pineapple hops and slightly bitter. Good

Bottle. Heavy hay aroma. Clear light gold color. Not a great feel in mouth. Pretty astringent. Not a fan.

Nice cherry wheat with a sweet dry finish. Great backyard beer for hot summer days.
