COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid American wheat, with a classic nose that transitions to a faint cherry aroma complimenting its rich amber gold hue. As this well-balanced and deceptively light-bodied wheat beer travels across the tongue, the willamette and perle hops hint at bitterness, followed by a crisp, clean wheat flavor that cuts to a subtle tart cherry finish. Asked to describe the flavor of Archangel, the most accurate response is: "it tastes like more.”

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 4/3/2015. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of tart cherry, lemon, pear, apple, light banana, clove, wheat, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of cherry juice, bready malt, and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart cherry, lemon, pear, apple, light banana, clove, wheat, biscuit, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light fruit tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, lemon, pear, apple, light banana, clove, wheat, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and complexity of cherry juice, bready malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a good malt/yeast/cherry balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a nice fruited pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of cherry juicy, bready malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

EtTuCthulhu (1326) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - MAY 8, 2015
The beer pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring and film atop the liquid, and the aroma blends wheat, doughy yeast, and a hint of cherry sweetness (though I may not have picked it up if I wasn’t looking for it). The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet with a wheat-forward aftertaste, and the cherry tartness is only a small part of the overall flavor. The palate fuses a thick texture, medium body, and a soft carbonation.

Bottle: Cloudy gold with a large, soapy-white head. Wheat, cherry scent. Flavour is slightly bready, wheat malt, semi-bitter cherry malt. Creamy wheat malt...very natural mild cherry notes. Not overly sweet or fruity. Very nice, earthy/wheat feel to it...A nice change from your typical fruit beer.

pours hazy very light golden with a small bubbly white cap, little retention and no lacing per say. fresh wheat, lightly honeyed malts, faint fruitiness - cherry-flavored wine, flowers, cherry candies and perfume - just slightly artifical, spicy and peppery, touch of cardboard. moderately low carbonation, light body - oily, semi-sweet, very lightly astringent and grassy-herbal finish. decent fruit summer wheat ale.

St. Augustine, Fl. - Broudy’s Fine Wine & Spirits. Light orange and hazy pour with a soft snow white head. Aroma is somewhat neutral with just a hint of floral accents. Flavor is somewhat bland, pick up some brief melon-like fruitiness, a touch of light spiciness. Finish does have a hint of cherries as described in the description. Thick enough mouthfeel.

As close to a perfect summer wheat as I have ever had. Bold, bright and fun, but with just enough cherry to smooth the flavor and knock down the bitter without tasting a pronounced fruit flavor. Very Good!

Bottle. Hazy gold stuff with a small head and kind of an apple juice (guess I can buy cherry though) nose. Flavor is light wheat beer with a pretty heavy fruit presence.

Pretty good offering. Really weak aroma and kind of a bland taste. Still a descent beer.
