A solid American wheat, with a classic nose that transitions to a faint cherry aroma complimenting its rich amber gold hue. As this well-balanced and deceptively light-bodied wheat beer travels across the tongue, the willamette and perle hops hint at bitterness, followed by a crisp, clean wheat flavor that cuts to a subtle tart cherry finish. Asked to describe the flavor of Archangel, the most accurate response is: "it tastes like more.”

Stubby hipster bottle. Big nose of tart, canned pie cherry nose, a touch astrigent. Pours a dark pumpkin orange, a bit hazy with a well-off-white head. Flavors are a bit rough in my book. Bitter, astringent and coarse pie sugar flavor, with some thin wheat sugar. Overall, it’s a bit too sugary to me. Fades quickly in the backend. Underwhelming, but interesting to try. Thanks Sean!

Bottle. Poured reddish amber color and an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy tart cherry fruit and sweet wheat aroma. Medium body with with a smooth rich texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy tingly tart cherry flavor with a medium to heavy tart cherry sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Refreshing complex change of pace fruit beer.

Pours orangish with some amber hue. Head was full. The nose is subtle with a hint of wheat and a bit of cherry but the smell itself isn’t over powering. Medium mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, creamy, the flavor is perfect. A little bitterness, a subtle sweetness, very pleasant. Not too sweet. I think the tart cherries really give it all the flavor without being overly sweet. This is by far the best cherry beer I have ever had.

Bottle at Beerwarming Party. Pours red-gold with a foamy, white head. Lots of wheat in this sweet aroma, with LOTS of cherries. Flavor holds wheat, bread and yeast along with sweet cherry notes. Medium in body with average carbonation Finishes sweet and lightly bitter. Pretty good.

Draft… RBSG 2010… Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is a bit subdued, but the presence of cherry and spicy grains along with an undertone of warm mash and a trace of lactic acid is finally pulled from my glass. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Bittersweet, malty flavor with just a smidge of cherry. Finishes soothingly bitter.

Reddish-orange color with white head. Fresh sweet-tart cherry aroma, faintly yeasty. Very Flavorful, cherry, sweet spices, grains, caramel. Medium with lots of refreshing carbonation, especially for a summer brew!

Reddish-orange pour with a small, short-lived, white head. Fresh sweet-tart cherry aroma with some faint yeasty esters, toffee and cereal grains. The flavor is a big burst of fresh cherries with some notes of pie spices, cereal grains, caramel and a mild spicy hop balance. Medium body with lots of carbonation.

I had high hopes for this one, but was let down. The color is darker than I would expect which much be the cherry juice. Too carbonated for my taste and has a dry character on the tail as it warms that I don’t care for. This is my first North Peak beer and it doesn’t make me want another.

On tap. Poured a cloudy orange with a medium near white head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma had some tart and sweet cherries with a sweet wheat. Flavor was similar with sweet cherries and wheat in the beginning with a slight growing tart cherry undertone.
