A solid American wheat, with a classic nose that transitions to a faint cherry aroma complimenting its rich amber gold hue. As this well-balanced and deceptively light-bodied wheat beer travels across the tongue, the willamette and perle hops hint at bitterness, followed by a crisp, clean wheat flavor that cuts to a subtle tart cherry finish. Asked to describe the flavor of Archangel, the most accurate response is: "it tastes like more.”

Poured from 12oz bottle at home. Orange and cloudy pour. White bubbly head. Fruity aroma. Taste of banana pineapple hops and slightly bitter. Good

The beer pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring and film atop the liquid, and the aroma blends wheat, doughy yeast, and a hint of cherry sweetness (though I may not have picked it up if I wasn’t looking for it). The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet with a wheat-forward aftertaste, and the cherry tartness is only a small part of the overall flavor. The palate fuses a thick texture, medium body, and a soft carbonation.

Clear pink coloured body with a dense, thick, HUGE pale pink head and tons of bubbles coming from everywhere. Aroma of sour cherries, metal, malt, wheat and a touch of light grain. Light-bodied; Very mild wheat and yeast flavour with a pungent kick of metallic notes and a very bitter cherry juice taste. Aftertaste is strong and potent - a lot of bitter tastes throughout with some cherry sweetness and tastes and a long bittering metallic note. Overall, an interesting beer - not much wheat going here, but the cherry notes are noticeable, but not so much in a good way. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 30-July-2010 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 25-January-2011.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized whited head. The aroma had some citrus, mild cherry notes, wheat and some pale malts. The flavor is a bit weaker than I would have expected. Some citrus, cherry, wheat and pale malts. Hints of tart character with more sweetness than one might expect. This is just not that exciting, and more importantly, some things are out of place.

Pours mid amber with fruit notes that drive into a smooth sweet fruit palate and finish.

Pours clear golden with an off-white head. The aroma has light cherry, smooth wheat, lightly toasted maltiness and light spice. It has a medium smooth body with good amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with a medicinal / astringent taste that seems to happen with some fruit beers. The there is a mild toasted malt taste, hints of caramel and phenolic spice. The finish has a bit of a cough syrup taste. This one didn’t do much for me.

Pours a cloudy golden with light head. Smells like a sour ale with more body. Light palate with dry finish. Drinkable but not very enjoyable.

pours hazy very light golden with a small bubbly white cap, little retention and no lacing per say. fresh wheat, lightly honeyed malts, faint fruitiness - cherry-flavored wine, flowers, cherry candies and perfume - just slightly artifical, spicy and peppery, touch of cardboard. moderately low carbonation, light body - oily, semi-sweet, very lightly astringent and grassy-herbal finish. decent fruit summer wheat ale.

I had high hopes for this one, but was let down. The color is darker than I would expect which much be the cherry juice. Too carbonated for my taste and has a dry character on the tail as it warms that I don’t care for. This is my first North Peak beer and it doesn’t make me want another.

bottle... medium copper with a bit of bright orange, a bit light tan head, good retention, if the body was crisper would be great... really light nose that gives off some sweet citrus notes with some wheat, subtle but nice... the taste is just off, stale wheat with applesauce and clove, and a touch of light cherry, just doesn’t come together correctly
