COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The devil made us do it. From the ABV and IBU figures to the fiendish use of Cascade, Perle and Willamette hops, Lucifer was whispering in our ears the entire time. Citrus and pine scents greet you and are followed by the sharp bitterness expected of an IPA. The beer’s true wickedness is revealed in the smooth Pale, Crystal 30 and wheat malts that surreptitiously broaden the beer’s appeal to more than just hopheads.

Had this with Latin food because I love IPA’s, which was a weird pairing. It’s a good IPA, not outstanding but very drinkable

It poured a clear orange/amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of bread, earthiness, grapefruit and a hint of orange. The taste was of biscuit, earthiness and grapefruit with a bitter earthy finish.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark ornage red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, grass, hints of grain, some orange, grapefruit, hints of spice. Taste is a mix of grass, bread, biscuit, caramel, toffee, slight orange, grapefruit, finishing fairly bitter, dry. Pretty nice.

St. Augustine, FL - Broudy’s Liquor’s - 12 oz stubby bottle. Slightly murky medium orange with a slight off-white head. Aroma has some ripening vegetable notes, a hint of piney notes. Flavor is very malt oriented for an IPA with some sweet caramel accents, a touch of maple syrup sweetness and just a hint of citrus bitterness, Smooth mouthfeel. Best of the handful of North Peaks I picked up in St. Augustine.

Draft at Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor. Pours a hazy orangish color. Aroma and taste are citrus, grapefruit, pine, and some balancing malts.

(perhaps a fresh bottle - no date - but bought in MI) pours hazy very light golden with a nice creamy off-white-orange head, some retention and lacing. sweet and spicy faint mangoes, danky melons, doughy and spicy caramel, sweetened apricots, citrus, pine, minty alcohol - clearly more than 7%. moderately low carbonation, medium body - oily and sticky, boozy and slightly harsh/tingling grassy-spicy-citrusy-piney finish. a tad muted and kind of sugary. still ok.

I dig this one, for the most part. Pint pour in a dirty glass at some random pub. Pours fairly amber with a decent off white head. Nose is floral and flowery, citrus hops and a little bready. Flavor is much nicer, juicy citrus and some papaya like flavors. Medium body and quite drinkable. I could do it again.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice hazy golden glazed orange color with a one finger white foamy head that mushroom caps and gently subsides with a nice rocky foaminess hovering above the top of the beer. The lacing was there once the head finally dissipated. It graced the sides of the glass in a speckled sort of manner. The smell had a nice gentle rolling blend of sweet citrus to sweet sharp pine coming through in a pungent way. The taste took those flavors and added a really nice bitterness to assist in the blend of the beer. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability running about my mouth and tongue. The carbonation seemed appropriately styled as the sharp bitter flavors pummels my taste buds into submission. Overall, what a nice bittersweet AIPA that I would have again.

Bottle shared at RBSG hotel. Pours clear orange with white head. Nose/taste of candy, resin, lemon, unfermented barley and grain. Lighter medium body.
