3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Piney nose is sticky with an earth/caramel base, otherwise Iím mostly pulling out Cascade here. Orange pour with a rocky beige/tan head. Taste is bittersweet, not terribly strong but cleansing. Light body a little watery, dryish malty finish with a little too much crystal, but the main course has bright and supple citrus, bendy like Crystal Light. Works for me.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A: The pour is orange in color with a small white head that fades away quickly.
S: The hop aroma is slightly floral with a little bit of bread. There is a strange apple note to the beer as well as some grassy hops and a mild skunk. The back end has a bit of sweet malt.
T: Starts off with semi-sweet bread and malt. The beer is only somewhat hoppy, especially for an IPA. The same green apple, grass, and just a touch of sweet citrus. There is only a mild bitterness.
M: The body is medium with a medium to high level of carbonation.
O: Pretty lackluster, underwhelming IPA. I wasnít a big fan of this one.

12oz bottle. Somewhat hazy amber color, minimal head leaving minimal lacing. Fruity hop aroma, but itís lacking something. Strange bitterness. Carbonation a bit strong. Lightly (metallic?), oily aftertaste. Not at all drinkable. Got to admire North Peak for having several different IPA offerings, though. They definitely are distinctly different, so far.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma is caramel malts, sugary, fruity. Medium to full mouth. Flavor is full of lightly citrus fruit, sweet malts, and a nice lasting tingle of bitterness. Pretty solid IPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice hazy copper coloured body with a dense, one-centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright citrus and pine, a touch of hops, some sugars, crystal malt and a bit of herbal notes. Medium-bodied; Assertive piney hoppiness with some grapefruit, a bunch of nice malt, a dose of light spices and a pleasant bitterness at the end that seemingly doesnít originate from hops. Aftertaste is rather long lasting with the emphasis of course on the hops, but some earth and malt come through strongly here. Overall, a nice IPA, showing some unique qualities and more than just a one-dimensional beer. I sampled this stubby (love the bottles) 340 mL bottle purchased at Sicilianoís in Grand Rapids on 06-November-2010 for US$1.89 sampled at home in Washington on 15-July-2011.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at the Ann Arbor Jolly Pumpkin. This is a really good IPA. Slightly harsh in the finish, but a great fruitiness to the hops that makes this interesting. A bit of apricot to the hops.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a shaker glass. The beer pours a light to medium amber color, with a low white head. The aroma shows resiny hop notes, seeming to feature danky pine notes, especially. Pleasant. The palate shows some toasty malt notes up front, before again showing nice danky hop notes. The finish leaves a residual note of bitterness, along with the aforesaid toasted note. Overall, an enjoyable American IPA; nicely brewed and packaged in a manner that didnít appear to hurt the product.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy orange color with a beige head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops. Taste is very bitter and hoppy, also dry and tangy. Very good and unusual.

An average IPA nothing bad about it. I enjoy the aroma that stands out as its best feature to me.
