The devil made us do it. From the ABV and IBU figures to the fiendish use of Cascade, Perle and Willamette hops, Lucifer was whispering in our ears the entire time. Citrus and pine scents greet you and are followed by the sharp bitterness expected of an IPA. The beerís true wickedness is revealed in the smooth Pale, Crystal 30 and wheat malts that surreptitiously broaden the beerís appeal to more than just hopheads.

Aroma was interesting, but a bit weak. Hints of several things, but I would have liked a stronger citrus aroma. Nice, pillowy head with cloudy orange-copper body. Taste was slightly above-average -- certainly not bad at all, but nothing extraordinary. There was a lot going on with the palate. Lots of life with this and a bit of sting (in a very good way), but fell short of perfection because it seemed watery too. I would love to have more of this beer, but I would choose several other IPAs over this one. Still, Iím glad I had it.

12 oz. bottle from Jungle Jimís International Market, Fairfield, OH. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of tangerine, mango, and wet grass. Taste offers citrus and piney hop bitterness with an assertive malt backbone. Mild lingering bitterness on the palate. Highly quaffable.

Esperava mais dessa IPA. Ela tenta mostrar um certo amargor, porém não convence. Mas valeu a distração.

Rollicking, frothy, bone-colored head on a slightly foggy bronze brew. Stumpy bottle. Marginally soapy, casting central AIPA aroma. Good. Threatens to go sweet, but I thought it had an understated richness and good style balance. Bitter, interesting, malty. I didnít get big esters or resin. A bare-knuckled brew, in a semi-UK rendition. Wish I bought a six instead of just one. ABC Liquors, Betton.

A pretty nice all day kind of IPA. Nice hops and in the nose and flavor. Good malt balance, not too sweet. Some citrus, lemon, orange, spice.

A metal ipa? Metallic aroma with some hops, taste is like eating a basketball rim that has been sitting in a box of stale hops.

On tap at Ann Arbor. Pours somewhat clear golden amber with a white head. Aroma is so pleasant with floral spring slightly sweet hops. Flavor brings less sweetness and more balanced bitter hop flavors with a dry herby ending.

Draught @ Jolly Pumpkin Cafe & Brewery, Ann Arbor, MI
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, biscuit, citrus, grape and grass. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long malty, caramel, citrus and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
