The black IPA is a wonderful winter beer. Its hoppy character is sure to warm you up on a chilly Michigan winter night. Made with Chinook, Columbus and Cascade hops and Pilsner, C-40, Midnight Wheat and Carapils malts.

Thick and black color, great hop profile from start to finish. Very hoppy, but very well balanced.

12 oz. stubby bottle from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, chocolate, earthy and herbal hops, decent bitterness to the finish, a splash of citrus, has a lighter body than the color would suggest, decent.

Bottle. Great looking pour with a large frothy head. Aroma of chalk, must, caramel, roasted oats, some line and herbs. Roasted oats at the forefront like a oatmeal stout. Earthy hop finish

Draught at All Tech fest. Nice creamy and hoppy black IPA. Chocolate in body. Some bitter in finish.

Love the stubby bottle. Pitch black with a brownish head. Pine cones of the hop with roasted nuts and chocolate and more pungent hops aroma. Balanced brew with a some what disappointing amount of bitterness. Roast and chocolate with a light hoppy finish. It could use a bit more aggression but enjoyable.

Awesome fluffy head with large moon craters. Dark dark brown black color. Nice hoppy nose. Slight malt flavors, delicious breadiness, not too bitter.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque black with a full brown head that slowly drops to a cover, mottled sheets of lace. Taste is toasted malt that grows substantially as it moves through the palate to a well-balanced hoppy finish. A great brew, worth searching out.

red stripe bottle into Le Boeuf. love the style as I do this interpretation. More coffee than Iím used to, but ends on a citrus note. well done. I canít stop nodding, from agreement, not blacking out.
