COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
MIDWEST INDIA PALE ALE
The devil is in the details. The light touch of pale and wheat malts. Amarillo, Cascade, Simcoe and Chinook hops. Massive hops additions imbue a wicked bitterness and the intense floral aromas of citrus and lush tropical fruit. Hoppy, hoppy, rich and golden.

355ml bottle. Haze gold pour. So this is brewed at jolly pumkin who makes good sour ales. But wow the aroma of this one just fucking sucks, they totally fucked up, smells like any old homebrewed amateur acetone smelling ipa. the flavor is a bit more tolerable but it is sickly sweet like those fruit flavored candy canes, boozy, melon, not as acetony, not great.

Bottle. Aromas are wet grass, wood, light caramel, and candied pineapple. Tastes like huge candied tropical fruit with dank grass and strong malt sweetness. Mild bitterness in the finish. Pretty good it wears on you after drinking the whole bottle.

Slightly cloudy deep golden with a thin Rocky white head. Lovely aroma with piney and leafy-floral hops, and a little bitter grassy undertone with a bit of grapefruit pith. Spicy and bitter grassy flavor with some bitterness throughout and much pithiness, but it’s got loads of old world biscuity blondeness as a base. Very bright and bitter and bold while retaining a bit of old germain charm.

Draught@ Jolly Pumpkin Ann Arbor. Rich orange color with small frothy white head, faint hops aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet taste with strong floral hops flavor, orange peel in the background, long hoppy finish.. Deliciously hoppy!

12oz bottle (bottled on 6/11/14) - nose is grapefruit. Sip adds a malty backbone. OK, OK. I’m disappointed by this. All of the others I’ve tried from North Peak have been awesome. I guess I raised the bar too high or maybe Jolly Pumpkin can’t brew very well, or both or something else or a combination. Wife loves it and she can have it. Just checked the date - that might be why this is off.

Draft at Dutch’s in August 2014 from notes. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice mix of resiny, citrus, floral hops, toasted bready malts, a splash of caramel, moderate bitterness, this was definitely better than expected.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear light medium amber with a generous frothy white head, constellations of lace. Taste is big-bodied dark fruit and malt that includes biscuit and mown hay in the palate before strong alcohol shows up at the finish. Nicely balanced, good malt and good hop presence. A solid winner.

On draught in a tulip. Nose is nice mix of fruity and grassy hops. Easy to drink mix of great hop flavors throughout, would not say this is wickedly bitter, bit fairly so.

Bottle: Hazy amber-orange with a tight, soft white head. Orange syrup, peel, biscuit aroma. Caramel malt, orange-peel, pine...sweet.... very malty...grassy/spicy hops. Pretty nicely blended.
